Hello again Hivemind! It is my pleasure to announce the latest development in my ongoing generative modular synth NFT music project: the AmbieNFT Sync Licensing Pool. With it, I plan on finally providing a definitive answer to the classic "full rights" music NFT conundrum: "but what do I do with my rights?"
What's a sync licensing pool? For that matter, what's an AmbieNFT? Allow me, your humble @drumoperator, to explain.
What is the AmbieNFT project?
AmbieNFT is an ongoing collection of 256 single edition (1/1) modular synthesizer NFT music compositions that are created by parsing a randomly generated sixteen digit hexadecimal hash through an algorithm into the defining elements of a modular synth composition. Every variable from selection of synthesizer module to tempo, key and melody are dictated by this hash but the physical patching of the synth and recording/production choices are left in the capable hands of OG crypto synthesist, yours truly, @drumoperator and patched live for the world to witness on Twitch. By introducing a human steering the final stage, atypically musical results can be achieved generatively, predominantly in the ambient and idm genre though there are outliers that veer into chaotic madness and techno soundtracks. There are currently 55 pieces in the collection with new entries minted each week via whitelist on the AmbieNFT discord.
What are my rights as an ANFT holder?
Holding an AmbieNFT in your ethereum wallet conveys rights to the piece in totality, enabling holders to (for instance) upload the piece to Spotify and collect royalties on streaming, use the composition as background music in their film/commercial/video game or remix the stems into an entirely new NFT. But what if the ANFT collector doesn't make films, doesn't remix music and has no contacts in the licensing industry? How can the project provide value to these holders? In so many ways, having "full rights" to an NFT is only as valuable as the collector's ability to deploy these rights and a disproportionate number of early music NFT collectors don't have access to the sound supervisors and licensing agencies that only a long career surviving in the trenches of the music industry can deliver.
What's a licensing pool?
The AmbieNFT licensing pool is an opportunity to pool your full rights as an AmbieNFT holder non-exclusively with other holders into an easily packaged, first of it's kind NFT music library administered by ANFT creator @drumoperator and employing a meticulously built network of sync licensing contacts to place ANFTs in lucrative television, film, video games and commercial syncs. Via a simple ethereum wallet signature, holders can opt in and receive a single equal share of any money generated by the pool for as long as the ANFT(s) remain in their wallet. One ANFT in the pool = one equal share of the successful licensing of any ANFT in the pool. Should you decide to exit the pool or acquire an ANFT on secondary that you want removed, another quick ethereum wallet signature is all that is required to exit. Simple, transparent and a bold use case of NFT technology that's already getting the attention of forward thinking players in the licensing industry.
What's in it for the sound supervisor?
In the day to day licensing grind, too many times the perfect sync placement will slip through both the artist's and supervisor's fingers because of a tight deadline with too many signoffs required to be practical. The ANFT wallet-signed pool model makes this a one click passthrough for the always-under-the-gun sound supervisor and significantly expedites the process of securing sync rights while notably allowing holders to retain their full rights to employ the piece elsewhere.
How do I get involved?
If you are a current ANFT holder, fill out this simple form and use etherscan or MyCrypto to sign for each ANFT in your wallet. If you are a music NFT collector looking to acquire an ANFT they are currently available on Opensea secondary or via a simple whitelist process on the AmbieNFT discord. If you are a sound supervisor or licensing agency looking to get involved with the project, contact me directly at [email protected] or via the AmbieNFT twitter.

This sounds like a very interesting project!
Dear @drumoperator, sorry to jump in a bit off topic but may I ask you to support the HiveBuzz proposal?
It recently lost its funding, is struggling to get back above the HBD stabilizer proposal, and is in dire need of help.
You can support it on Peakd, Ecency,
On behalf of The HiveBuzz team, thank you!
