We begin a series of pages from the perspective of our villain, Rupert Saxton, a 5th dimensional being working hard to bump himself up to being a 7+ dimensional being.
It won't surprise you to hear I had a hard time figuring out how to convey to readers the way a mind like that would perceive reality, and I came up with a format that could only really be conveyed within the comic book medium (another struggle for us should we ever get a TV adaptation, haha).
I decided that the panels would not have any specific or coherent order, it would be him thinking related thoughts but forwards, backwards, and sideways in time. So we see him taking the (sometimes) dead corpse of Daniel to stitch together a "Dowel" that Rupert intends to use to hold together his Tapestry across multiple parallel timelines. We see that even as he was saying some of these lines in previous issues, he was actually experiencing what to us would be considered future events.
Something fun to see is that we have multiple versions of pages 3 and 4 on display here, try to guess which ones are the ones we're going with, haha.
