JANNI REBEL.
I have come across a n number of ancient tales that talk about genies or jinn and all these are besides the popular Aladin story. In some tales they steal life from humans and put them in a dream state where all there desire comes to pass. In some other they steal blood. In some they are bound to one human and help make difficult decisions that later caused regrets. All of them were fascinating and in some instances scary. I once thought I was in an induced ildream state under the influence of a Jinn once. That day everything I wanted just came rolling in and I felt it was too good to be true 😄
Around this time last year when I first opened my account, I stated that my use of the pen will be restricted to colour Blue, Red and Black for the time being. It's been a year now and because of this character and for the sake of growth,I will be adding colour Green to the mix.
Since the Jinn in question is a Rebel I decided to steal a pose from one super villain I saw in a comic book. I drew this visioned pose with my blue pen and made her look like Janni.
To cement this quick posture I used my black pen and then signed afterwards just so I wouldn't forget.
I shaded her hair black and did it in rhythm (especially the top of her head) so that I could get a kind of highlight effect. I also touched the belt with some blue and black (for depth)
to cover the parts that were originally yellow, I used red and further shaded the figure
The skirt was next but I had to take this shot should in case I forget to take any later on.
well, because of the absence of green in my palette, I improvised and used Blue and Red instead.
The materials I used while making this sketch are blue, black and red pens from two brands: BIC and SCHNEIDER
