What's your favorite museum?

Hello friends of art, hello Hive community!

This is a follow up post, as I learned on #Hivebuzz that my activity is rather underwhelming 😜 and I will sadly never ever be elected top Hive poster of the month.

Never mind, the current discussion ignited by the Museums Facing Extinction topic really inspires me to continue!
I feel that this topic around the #value proposition of museums could grow into our first DAO project. To look at the #exhibitions of MAK, contrast them with its own positioning and present results to the question How to create love for science, nature and art in museums?

My last post did not trigger many comments, however the feedback I got was deep and very insightful. Thank you!
One of my statements read:

most people think museums are old fashioned.

@tibfox replied that there were many #progressive museums and his friends loved to visit exhibitions despite the high costs. Happy to see that there are more #museumlovers around, than I suspected!

@stayoutoftherz suggests that museums should ask their #audience. Agree! He also pointed out that I am not part of a museum. True.
I have no authority whatsoever.

But we as a community could have authority that originates from the MAK DAO project of the MAK museum.

This is why I would love to hear your views and opinions and carry them back into the #DAO together with you, invite you to embark on this journey, dwell on the ideas, turn them into project proposals, come up with suggestions and solutions within the DAO and create our first project.

So I have this question for you:

What is your favorite museum or exhibition up to date and why?

Be it one of the big houses, or be it small hidden treasures - share your ideas with us in comments! Tell us what makes this one museum or exhibition so special, is it the art they are showing, childhood memories, the interactive set up, the art shop, the café, the entrance hall...

Whatever it is, please share until the end of next week! If you have a picture, please add it!

There is no such thing as "the best idea", and although I cannot reward the posts I will honor all of them by collecting your contributions, pictures and #ideas and set up a board of ideas where we can relate to when we start working!

To kick things off, here's my experience: The museum I remember most fondly to this day is "Haus Konstruktiv" in Zurich, Switzerland. The pic is from a scribble on the exhibition walls, taken in November 2021. The whole room was dedicated to these scribbles, it was amazing.

So excited to read about your ideas! The floor is yours! 🤗

Hmz museums...

I really liked Madame Tussauds Amsterdam WAX museum. It was really fun to see famous people made from wax that looked very real.

Then there is Nemo Museum Amsterdam and I think this is one of my favorite museums even though it's for kids haha. But There was so much to do and my son loved it. It was a museum you could visit all year every month 😁

Well for me, the Beaux Arts museum in my hometown city Caracas, in Venezuela, because in the 80s, I was part of the kids that learn to make art in theirs art tallers, and later I could work there with the Moma NY and others art foundations from my country, and I get a lot of memories there, since 24 years ago.

@nahupuku The video is amazing. I might have missed it before, but took a look at it now. So this was a cooperation between you and NFT Showroom and Hive - what exactly was it about? Did you mint the drawings? Do you have a link on NFT Showroom where I can view them? Thank you!

hiii! thanks a lot, I could make a post too yesterday, explains a little bit better all the expo and the concept, for the moment its the first time in the world that HiveNftshowroom do this in a real life Museum @elmirabear
Yes, since april Im proffesor of the most importan art university here at my country, the Unearte. In plastic arts, and I onboard all the artist from my class into Hive, they have theirs Hive profile, and today the first artist publish the introduction post.
I can modify with the artist some of the artworks for make digital art, and others was minted by the original for the exposition concept, I wanna show 2 walls, one the real one in a museum wall and in front of it, the Gallery collection with a non reward post that I made with the artworks and the digital link to the nftshowroom gallery, Julia support us and colab with the mint, because was a lot of hives that I dont have it, and I told the concept, she like it and support us, but the idea now its when the introduction posts rewards, the students artist could mint they artworks in nftshowroom and Hive, they made a very cool egyptian art right now that I wanna support in a new art experimental exposition. its the new plan, and I wanna that someday the exposition link will be showing in others museums walls, they only needs a videobeam and a computer and nothing more, will be very cool for the young artists that theirs artworks could be in others lands for being watched

yes of course, the entire gallery
