It’s been some time friends and I honestly didn’t mean to skip out on you like that but I’ve been very ill. I’ve been receiving treatment for almost two weeks now and only started feeling better few days ago. It was so bad that I couldn’t even put words together to support the drawings I had earlier made. But now that I’m all better, I will be sharing them recurrently so if you see me post twice on some days just know it was a drawing I made during that time period.
As a comeback I decided to make a digital piece of the Naga Fire Wizard. So far so good I have explored this character twice but the drawings didn’t get any engagement. It also has been some time since I last drew her so I decided to give it a shot. First I found the perfect vector and traced out the features that I needed to lay my ground work.
Once I was done with the lineart I filled in the blanks and trimmed the edges for excesses. During this process, I visually reconstructed the result as the end result was still vague and tried to see the best angles to take in casting the light. I do admit though that I misplaced some but still, the effort was genuine.
Since the head filled most of the space, there was no reason to give thoughts for the background. I officially assumed the fire 🔥 in her arms was the perfect tool. I therefore incorporated the flames and made sure it superseded all the layers of the piece, it was beautiful.
The Process....
