Around this time last week after I had narrowly made my entry into the contest, I went looking for a number of vectors that were in line with what I aim to draw digital. As fate would have it, I came across a couple of Orc ready vectors. The thing is, I have a peculiar love for Grum Flamesblade and I had oftentimes drawn him especially in my early days of the contest and since he was an Orc, I loved all Orcs.
This is the vector I got and I believed it would sooth the role I wanted it to. I only need make some adjustments. The adjustments however weren’t as easy as I thought since it was my hands I used in making the drawing. There were a lot of pauses along the way both when straightening out the library and painting the actual piece.
One of the saving grace I had was that someone invited me an my colleagues over for dinner and as such there was no need to cook so time was a bit bountiful and with that time, I completed the piece.
As you well know that I’m not too big on backgrounds (though I’m working on it) I decided to use the Round Alcohol Brush to paint some green in different shades as well as other colours to simulate a forest.
The process....
Thank you friend for making me a part of your day, it was fun hosting you.
