Remixing the Hive coin image from @bidesign with some standard emoji symbols to make new icons for my post header images.

Post Payout Options Icons.
My post head thumbnail images are created from a template, using GIMP. I am forever tweaking and improving my template for them. In this post I will explain a new feature of my post head thumbnail image generator template, which I will be using from this point forward.
You will notice in the top right corner of this post's thumbnail image, a new icon which represents the post's selected payout option. In this particular instance, the payout has been declined. Other posts may have an icon for
accepted payout,
burned payout, or
donated payout.

NOTE: As "fair use" has been invoked for some copyrighted elements used in this remix, this post will not be elligible for any payout. Payout has been declined for this post.

Creating the remix.
These images were simple to put together in GIMP, using layers. Then I just turned off all the layers but the ones that I needed for each individual post payout option, and rendered the PNG image for that specific one. Each individual image was thus rendered by simply manipulating the layers of the XCF file.

Licensing the remixed image.
Although many people would consider emojis to be public domain, the image representation of the Unicode Standard only provides for simple, plain black and white images. The full colour representations of the emojis are created by individuals or organisations / companies, and are released under various different licenses. Some are free cultural works, and some are proprietary.
All emoji images that I use in my remixes are sourced from Emojipedia, and are used with respect to the original creators, under fair use provisions. All such remixes which I derive from such copyrighted source images are therefore inelligble for subsequent licensing without violating the original rights holders' copyright. I provide my deriviative works also under "fair use" only, for descriptive and commentary purposes only. The derivative works thus cannot be reused without the permission of the original rights holder(s).
