Good morning Hive friends of this great community, Today a new opportunity to be here sharing my new entry for the Splinterlands Art Contest, week 325. The truth is I did not know which card to choose since there are so many that I like, at the same time when I look at them I look for the inspiration of that card, but after so much reviewing and seeing which one came to me I saw a very particular one which is the Medusa card or also known as a Gorgon, since she was a mythological being that could turn whoever looked into her eyes into stones, she was decapitated by Perseus, but this woman had that great power that many feared, many also struggled to kill her but all were unsuccessful.
But at the same time, before being that monster that many feared, she was a beautiful priestess, with beautiful hair, this made her have many suitors, but after being raped in one of the temples, Athena punished her by throwing her out of the temple and punishing her by turning her into a monster whose hair was snakes and had the power to turn people into stone. On this occasion, I wanted to give life to this card by giving it some changes, where I placed her head like a snake's head, with two big eyes, but her hair short, but her hands in the shape of a snake, with a large snake head at the bottom. At her feet another snake, I hope you like my design since it turned out as I wanted each time I strive to give a good job, a better finish.
Let's go with the step / Vamos con el paso
First I made the sketch, where I like to create the entire part of her body, finally I leave the eyes for later, since from my point of view the face is one of those that gives life to the drawings, Then I created a background with a large snake head that are her guardians that guard her, one that is her favorite and trusts her at her feet, I created this with the round pen for a good finish, using my Redmi phone and the Medibang app. Once everything is ready, I begin the process of giving color to my drawings with the base paint, where I paint her hands in two colors, green and yellow, on her neck that carries gold garments. After finishing this process of the base colors, I move on to give her light and shadow, which is where the different effects are given. In this part, I like the gold color because I work with the blurring and that beautiful effect, the other one I use is watercolor. Finally, a blurred background of arches with wood.
