True Darkness
Her destiny is to become her true Dark Eternal form, what can I tell you, I already feel scared, Mimosa Nightshade is not someone you can play with lightly, for me she is one of the incarnations of death.
Capable of mastering the most secret and dangerous magics, manipulate the mind of any person, annihilate entire cities and if that were not enough has been hired by the Lord of Darkness to work under his tutelage, I tell you that I had to paint Mimosa in a total position of power, with nothing around her, only a chair where all that matters is her, because if she so wishes she can be the end of everything around her, where nothing will remain but the red of the blood of her enemies.
Play Splinterlands Now❕
-Step 1:
For some time I have wanted to paint some Splinterlands character on a throne or some place that demonstrates a position of power, and the story of Mimosa deserved it, so I tried to make the perspective play in favor of obtaining a point of view in which the viewer would be kneeling right in front of her, no doubt waiting to be her slave or be disintegrated.
-Step 2:
Then I created six new layers for each of the elements of the scene, this way I had each separate flat color ready to give it volume and new colors, so I focused on giving some shadows to Mimosa's face and her latex or leather outfit. The magenta background color was the base color to make all the elements behind her, but you know I never did anything and I fell in love with how this color made Mimosa stand out.
-Step 3:
I had to express the danger that Mimosa represents to anyone who dares to challenge her, so the first treatment to the painting was to focus on her face, I had given volume to her face with the usual skin colors using some pink glows, but when I used a layer in the "multiply" blending mode I saw the potential and the incredible enhancement to her eyes by just extending this shadow to all the upper part of her face, immediately I got that evil and death that I wanted to transmit.
-Step 4:
Another reason why I had sketched this pose for Mimosa, was that I wanted to work really well on her outfit, I love that latex or shiny leather texture, so I worked on it using my "Airbrush Noisy" brush, first painting with black as a base, and then set the brush to "screen" blending mode, that's the nice thing that I love about Photoshop, being able to apply blending modes directly to the brush, it's something I've seen professional artists do (Wlop does it to paint gems, check out his speedpaints). I also worked on the chair, trying to make the texture as accurate as possible, and for that I used a photo of a real chair as a reference (don't be afraid to use references).
-Step 5:
Something I didn't talk about until now is the hair, the truth is that I spent time on it, but not so much to detail each strand but I focused on its color, Mimosa's hair is white, but her magic despite mortal can be very colorful, so I wanted to capture that in her hair, also I've been seeing on Twitter (or X) art made with AI with very nice hair colors and I felt inspired by it.
And to accompany her mortal look, it was necessary to show the magic that ends the life of her enemies, for this magic ball I was practically trying all the fusion modes to achieve something very striking, but what it cost me a lot was to achieve the pose of the hand, since my goal was that the magic came out of a snap of fingers, so it will be you in the comments who tell me if you think I have achieved that at first glance this does look like a snap of fingers.
I will leave you a GIF with the whole process on it, so you can better appreciate the illustration process.
See you in a future post!

Love the cyberpunk style. Her hair is gorgeous, coll pose and enchanting eyes. Simply perfect
Thanks @leeendah, this is the second comment that mentions something cyberpunk and I've been excited and inspired to do an artwork on that theme.
Really loved the way you made the drawing look glossy and liked her pose too.
Thanks! the trick is that her suit is black and to use the "screen" fusion mode😁
