Hey All!
Firstly I just wanted to say THANK YOU!!! I LOVE that this community exists, it feels like the perfect place to share my more "trippy" works of art. I live in a part of Australia that has been in lock down for 12 weeks and at the moment there isn't much end in sight. Today, when I got on here, it bought a smile to my face, it means so so much to me that people are reading my posts and like my work!!! Thank you for welcoming a newcomer!!!
Today I wanted to share my first ever jacket "Collection." I had been painting jackets for about 18months and had just been painting what I felt like. I would paint several jackets, photograph them and put them out into the world.... but I was running out of ideas?!!!! HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?!!!
My partner, @mikepedro suggested I started thinking about it differently.... instead of painting random ideas, why not create a collection around a theme and release a whole vibe all at once? That way I could create a theme and paint around that.
All of a sudden, 15 different collections came to me with infinite ideas for each...the creative block had been lifted!!!!!!!!
True to my nature, the first collection I wanted to work on was a Mushroom theme!!!!
This is the result!!!! I called the collection "Shroomy Daze."
(I had to share 2 photos of this first jacket as it is one of my all time faves!)
Since, I have released many collections all based around a single theme/idea each time. It was an amazing hack to help my mind focus on one specific idea and get it out fully formed into the world.
