Now imagine that you're an alien coming to earth trying to blend in. Unfortunately you just aren't that bright. You're like an AI, you possess all the knowledge or at least could use it if you wanted to but unfortunately, although you should be incredible bright, you're not.
You come to earth, presumably by accident, see all the animals on earth and you, the alien, are thinking: "What creature can go anywhere without anyone paying that much attention to it and can go quickly to places? Those flying things of course! We want to be those flying things!"
So then you, the alien observe the birds, see that most have two flying thingies, two walking thingies, two seeing thingies and some sort of mass where those other thingies are attached to. Some are small, some are big. And then you, the alien, mimic the birds and transform yourself in to birds. As similar looking as you can. You think you did great but us people and I assume the real birds can't be fooled because there's just something really creepy and wrong with you, the alien birds.
And there you are, the alien birds, chirping, tweeting and quaking: "Don't be afraid! We are merely normal birds here, nothing weird is going on! We just want to take you in to our space ship and get to know you better! Please don't run away or scream!"
This was the photo I started to draw on. A church.
This post is an Inktober post, an old camera post and participation to @alienarthive contest, theme: spaceships and alien transportation.
Those of you who haven't read any of my previous post about this same topic, digitally drawing on to a scanned film photo, here's a short explanation: I found an old Coronet D-20 camera from a flea market. The camera had and old film inside it. The film was about 40 to 60 years old. I rewound it and photographed it again. And this is what I got.
Here are my previous Coronet D-20 posts: 1, 2, 3.
And here's what I decided to draw on top of the church photo.

Love this one , such a creepy vibe! Reminds me of some old pinhole camera photos I took, they always had this ghostly look to them
Thanks! Perhaps back in the old days everything was creepy. Or if you use old photography methods you can capture a space and time in between of the past and our reality now. Who knows!
This turned out really cool!!!
Thanks! So many lines! I drew so many lines that now all I can see is more lines! Everywhere! Hngh!
I was very impressed, how much creativity, the story comes alive in each image... I need to see more of this!
Thanks! I have to think if there's more. Some day perhaps.
Absolutely love those little drawings. The top part look like blocky fonts or
keyboard keys or something:) Really cool!
Picture on its own gives very unsettling vibes, I like it a lot as it is.
Thank you very much!
True that. Creepy photos. All the old photos that I took with this camera and film are more or less creepy. And the figures, some or them at least, seem to be in the film as if I've already photographed the weird creatures and just enhanced their lines a bit. Or perhaps it's only in my head. :D I still have couple photos that I hope to some day have time to draw on and post the results here.
They are indeed disturbing in nature.
Nevertheless - it is very difficult to look away.
It doesn't matter if something really happened or if it was only in your head. The important thing is that you took the time to share it:)
