Week 335 | My Splinterlands Art Contest Entry

For this week, I chose Naga Warrior.

Art Process

With five hours remaining in the countdown, I thought I could not make it today. This art is simple and was a bit rushed so it can manage to get it to this week's contest. Since it was a bit rushed, I did not incude the complicated element such as the whole body, sword, and the shield. I bet if I included them, it will not make it on time, hehe.

The base colors were color-picked from the original card. I then started using the airbrush for the shadows. I mixed soft and hard shadows to give contrast.

I then intensified the colors and shadows by duplicating the layer to save time. I used cell shading for the shine of the eye and of the hair. I used airbrush in yellow for the skin glow.

Final Art

For the background, I just thought of some random curtain. I just used the cell brush and airbrush. And then for the background, I just chose a simple brownish brick color, just a neutral color.
