Hi Hive and Aliens! ever since I've read about the cosmic creation contest theme mythology, i decided instantly that i would draw it in my version of art and also it should be in anime and modern too. I mean there are already a bunch of classic art style for the Mythology and I think I should depict them or draw them in a way that viewers of today could relate to. And I think why not gave her ( Medusa ) some fashion clothes to wear, tho I dunno what the name for her clothings are to be quite honest and just search for random women wears nowadays. She is rocking that sneakers with casual oversized denim pants which is also green in color while also wearing that spaghetti strap crop top. I also tried to make this drawing this time aesthetic and can be printed on a shirt. Well, enough of that for now let's hop in to the drawing process.
ART PROCESS ON CLIP STUDIO
Materials Used: clip studio paint software and drawing tablet which is XP PEN artist 12
- I always start with blue line brush colors just a rough draft of what the pose and shape would be for Medusa.
- Then a clean lineart but for now I intentionally didn't include Medusa's snake hair yet since I will be drawing it later using the outline tool of clip studio paint.
- Then coloring the base colors...
- I put the background first before some renders and details for me to figure out if there were excess colors outside of the body of Medusa.
- Now the outline tool which I set at color black and at 4.0 thickness with dark green colors for the back hair.
Then light green color for the front snake hair.
Now drawing the snake heads at the end of each body
For the back hair as well I drew snake heads...
Added some shadings.
- Finalizing the render for the highlights
