Something simple and playful today instead of my usual dark and dramatic that I wanted to share. The theme is that of a young girl whose has made friends with the most unusual bird.
They each set out to discover where they came from and who they belonged to. Not knowing where to start, they both closed their eyes and pointed in a direction. As good as any, they thought. Laughing they walked side-by-side.
Along the way, they encountered awesome sights and sounds they'd never seen. Some provided them clues to their home.
Could it be they are fictional characters; magical beings who have fallen from a storybook? Seems plausible.
I hope they find someone who can assist them in returning home.
For my current mixed media art project, I discovered a lovely photo of a girl and a bird. The connection looks genuine. I can see the closeness suggesting they have befriended each other. The girl's eyes are closed. This suggests she's perhaps dreaming of another time or place.
With one of my recent pure fractal designs, I was able to bring the storybook to life and create a magical background for the girl and bird. I loved the swirls and shapes. However, the red color was a bit bold. I desired a more demure background. All was required was to colorize the fractal.
Below are the two additional pure fractals I included to extract the magical qualities from the scene. The house was a lovely find with a sort of schoolhouse vibe. It resembles a house one would see in a fairy tale. Removing the background enabled me to position the house next to the bird.

I then utilized Canva , my design program, to blend the images. I leave with you my procedures which begin with a blank, white canvas. I then add layers of elements in accordance with my upgraded Annual Pro Membership that includes tools to remove backgrounds, resize, filter, duplicate, and reposition items as required.
