Procrastination | A Mixed Media Art Project

I was late. I offer no excuse. Time just wouldn't wait on me to get my head together and decide to proceed to the next step.

So, I missed out.

It won't be the first time. Nor the second; or third.

As long as I've got my project out in front of me, I've put in place a goal.

Isn't it better to have a goal for motivation?

Tomorrow I'll dwell on it further. In the meantime, I need a nap.

In designing my project entitled "Procrastination", I turned inward, reflecting how this internal struggle is an ongoing battle. It's an element of my personality I've dealt with for many years. I haven't lost the battle yet. My conscious kicks in and gives me a swift kick. To depict this state of mind, I chose a man to ponder the numerous responsibilities he's delayed.

I utilized Canva to blend the different type images. I add layers of elements in accordance with my upgraded Annual Pro Membership that includes tools to remove backgrounds, resize, filter, duplicate, and reposition items as required.

Below are my steps in sequence:

Your art represents very well the man with a hole in his head trying to fix the ideas that are leaving….

HaHa...that's me some days. I rise early with my To-Do-List; glance it over; have coffee and sometimes breakfast, then get online or go back to bed. I'm a senior citizen, so I use that as an excuse sometimes to delay offline tasks. Projects continue to pile up.

I've been on a serious minimalist mission the past few years. I've made good strides in that area. I'm pleased you could connect with my project in identifying the struggle. Thanks for your visit and engagement. I appreciate the support.
