Drawing is one of those activities that I really enjoy. Whenever I am sad, bored, anxious or in any context. It is a way to calm my thoughts, my mind. Recently I was quite anxious, in moments like this I like to draw to calm my thoughts. I wanted to draw a frog, a simple frog in life, peaceful and carefree.
This frog may not be the most beautiful, but I feel that every detail brought me closer to mental balance. It's good when we discover the things that comfort our soul. At that moment I imagined myself being that frog, peaceful in the middle of a small forest, just listening to the flow of the river water and the dancing leaves of the trees. Without further ado, my ideal moment.
Speaking about the illustration itself, it has characteristics that I loved. The truth is that when I started I had a clear idea of the context, but painting and details is something more than intuitive. I don't know if it happens to you, but I like to try out some textures and finishes, to see how they look together in the composition. Some of these are visually pleasing, and others I simply remove to start a new search that meets my desires more.
Let's quickly see Drawing process:
I started with a rough outline. Later I moved on to a very careful one, I put effort into each stroke and took my time doing each part of the illustration. The result was lovely, it reminded me of a coloring book I tried to do a while back, maybe I should go back to that. After being happy with the outline, I moved on to base colors. I spent a lot of time playing with different shades of green, it seemed like the ideal color to convey peace and nature. I also added some other colors that were related, like brown and blue. Once this was done, I moved on to a stage of textures, shadows and details. Lately I have fallen in love with a brush called Grease Nozzle, which I think is spectacular. I also used brushes from the painting category, flat type that I love the way they leave the lines. I played in the sky with watercolors in various shades and a Gaussian effect. I added shadows and similar, with an airbrush mixed softly and then blurring little by little in a light manner. In short, it was an experience that I enjoyed from start to finish.

So cute!! I love this kind of lovely froggy illustrations!
Yes, I think that too. I really wanted to capture tranquility... that adorable grace! Thank you very much. 😊
Muchas gracias! 😌
This is cuteeeeee, and seriously I think, doing arts can be a calming hobby that is good for the heart and the mind. And it us more relaxing if you enjoy it a lot. ✨✨
