I've just finished my illustration for this round, I'm very happy with the result and I'm excited to participate. It took me a few hours to make my illustration, to be honest, I started in the afternoon and it's already nighttime, haha. For this occasion I chose: Daarg Deadblast.
Inspiration, Original Splinterlands Art:
It was actually quite fun, I had another illustration to do, but I honestly wanted to create this one since yesterday. I love colors, I've basically used the color palette of the original art, except for some details that I added as part of my creative process. It's been a while since I worked on "gold pieces", it's still imperfect, but looking back at my initial illustrations, I allow myself to give myself a hug and say: We're doing well, evolving!
Let's quickly see Drawing process:
As resources, I used: Mobile and Medibang Paint as a drawing program. My tablet has passed away, so I've had to use what I have. Despite that, the result seems pretty decent to me, the comfort is clearly not the best, but it has been functional to do what I wanted. I started with a rough sketch to better locate myself on the canvas. Later I made a semi-careful outline that went through 2 stages of cleaning. After establishing the base lines, I went on to do details, I think it is one of the stages that takes me the longest, but I love every pixel placed 😘.
Having my character ready, I went on to give the base colors. For this step I helped myself again with the original art, since I used a large part of its colors. Once this was done, I went on to shadows and more details, to create depth. Finally, some highlights, to highlight the gold pieces.
