Greetings everyone, hope your day/night is going well. The weather is so calm and cool out here and I'm enjoying every bit of it. This is my submission post for the splinterlands art contest, I hope you love what I came up with.
Saludos a todos, espero que su día / noche va bien. El tiempo es tan tranquilo y fresco aquí y estoy disfrutando de cada pedacito de ella. Este es mi post de presentación para el concurso de arte splinterlands, espero que les guste lo que se me ocurrió.
I've not painted a mermaid in a very long time so I chose to do a fanart of the merdaali guardian, she's a very pretty creature. I love the original work, the colours and details are simply perfect!!
Hacía mucho tiempo que no pintaba una sirena, así que decidí hacer un fanart de la guardiana merdaali, es una criatura muy bonita. ¡¡¡Me encanta el trabajo original, los colores y los detalles son simplemente perfectos!!!
The sketching part was a bit challenging because of the pose, I'm glad it didn't look weird at all. I painted base colours for the skin, jewelry, hair and tail, I used the gradient tool to fill in colours to the tail to give it a cool effect. Then I went on to add her facial features and paint lighter and darker shades on her skin. I really enjoyed painting the scales on her tail, it gave her a more defined mermaid look, I also added some blue colour and bubbles to her face and ears. The hair still looked basic so I painted in some more light and dark strands, added details to her jewellery and painted the background. Overall, this was interesting and fun to do, il paint more mermaids because I love them ❤️ 💕
La parte del boceto fue un poco complicada debido a la pose, pero me alegro de que no quedara nada raro. Pinté colores base para la piel, las joyas, el pelo y la cola. Utilicé la herramienta de degradado para rellenar de color la cola y darle un efecto chulo. Después añadí sus rasgos faciales y pinté tonos más claros y más oscuros en su piel. Me gustó mucho pintar las escamas de la cola, le daban un aspecto de sirena más definido. También añadí un poco de color azul y burbujas a la cara y las orejas. El pelo seguía pareciendo básico, así que pinté algunos mechones claros y oscuros, añadí detalles a sus joyas y pinté el fondo. En general, esto fue interesante y divertido de hacer, il pintar más sirenas porque me encantan ❤️ 💕
