Honata Brand new Style Illustration

Hello everyone, how are you doing today? I hope your doing well, as always!

I finished an Illustration of the Character Honata, as you can see she looks very different from before, well that's because i was unhappy with her previous design, as it didnt portray her personality well, she is suppose to be aloof and introverted, but her previous design made her look like a shy girl which she is very much not. I also found her eyes and hair super hard to draw before and I just wanted to fix it and make it easier, so i took some time to think over it and came up with ideas to keep the ideas of the white haired albino girl the same, but change it to make it still look like Honata.

I changed things up, I made her coat a lot easier to just be white with light pink ends, and made her eyes sharper to match her personality but still made her face soft and round, I also gave her gloves since I did think they made her look cooler.

I got the Insporation for this illustration of a card from ProjectSeka, thus Nene Kusanagi 3 star

I colorpicked the colors of the snake to match the snake of my Illustration since I loved the way the creators rendered the scales and shadows. So I will not take credit for the colors or pose at all!

As you can see I post-poned finishing this drawing for a very long time...

↓ Progress of the Artwork ↓

the sketch ⤴
I had a littke trouble with drawing her coat as I'm still a little unfamiliar with how clothes bend naturally in artworks, but i tried to keep it simple so that I won't take too long to finish.

the lineart⤴
I fixed some of the anatomy and pose for it to look smoother and less stiff, I also tried to make the coat more flowy.

coloring & rendering⤴
This is one of the artworks where I decided to color and render at the same time, as I was excited to try out a new shading style where I outline the shadow with a darker color, I think it turned out pretty good looking!

rest of the coloring and rendering⤴
I finished coloring the rest of the figure, in fact I actually had a really hard time rendering the Snake because of it's scales being pretty complicated...but eventually I figured out the way to do it which is by blurring it a lot.

scale rendering⤴
I rendered the rest of the snake at the bottom of the image, I love the colors honestly, they look so pretty in my opinion!

finished result⤴

This Drawing took so long to make because of how many details there were, and because of how I was still figuring out how the new Honata will be drawn, although I'm happy with the end result!

As always, thank you so much for all your support, I appreciate you all so so much!

-Yours truly
Honata
