I wanted to share with you a generative sketch I did a couple of days ago.

Basically you need to click and drag the mouse away from the vertical center and release the button. Drawing appears randomly as the circles drop to the center. Also without dragging, a simple click which is away from the center works as well. Dragging action just shows a simple animation where circles randomly pop-up around the canvas. Also on a touch screen you just need to tap somewhere on the screen which is away from the vertical center.
I called this drag mutation because there are irregularities on the canvas. Firstly, not all the drops reach to the center. Some fade away during the fall. Second, the circles generated are not in order. Some areas in a vertical trace is brighter than the others. Lastly, the lines generated at the background with a low visibility are not straight. They are slightly angled. Maybe these lines are external radioactive rays from outer space...
From far the whole sketch looks like genetic sequence, but if you look closely there are mutation all around.
