Happy Tuesday my dear readers of #Hive, how are you, I hope you are doing great, as many of you already know my name is Manuel and this is my blog where I share all my experiences and artistic creations. This time I come to share with you my latest entry for this week's dynamics in the #Splinterlands community, this time I wanted to go towards the theme of pirates, and among the game cards I came across this one called (PIRATE CAPTAIN), which as the name itself tells us is about the Captains of Pirate Ships which are the most cunning and shrewd within the scattered lands, they travel the seas in search of treasures and valuables to which they can get their hands on, regardless of the means or the force they have to exert to achieve it:
Feliz martes mis queridos lectores y lectoras de #Hive, como se encuentran?, espero que, de maravilla, como muchos ya me conocerán mi nombre es Manuel y este es mi blog donde comparto todas mis vivencias y creaciones artísticas. En esta oportunidad vengo a compartirles mi más reciente entrada para la dinámica de esta semana en la comunidad de #Splinterlands, en esta ocasión quise irme hacia la temática de los piratas, y entre las cartas del juego me tope con esta llamada (PIRATE CAPTAIN), la cual como su mismo nombre nos lo dice trata sobre los Capitanes de Barcos Piratas los cuales son los más astutos y sagaces dentro de las tierras esparcidas, recorren los mares en busca de tesoros y objetos de valor a los cuales puedan echarle mano, sin importar los medios o la fuerza que tengan que ejercer para lograrlo:

I made the primary sketch trying to give the (PIRATE CAPTAIN), a rather imposing appearance, and in this case I also encouraged to give him a slightly younger age than as seen on the card, as well as a much more stocky build. In the case of the colors I always like to start with the skin, this time I took a medium sandy tone to give a base with the help of my flat brush, then I went little by little darkening the skin and applying shadow in the lower areas such as the neck, the lower part of the nose and between the fingers of the hands; having finished the skin I moved to the painting of the eyes, in this case I made a mixture of navy blue and electric blue and tried to create a slightly closed look.
Realice el boceto primario tratando de darle al (PIRATE CAPTAIN), una apariencia bastante imponente, y en este caso también me anime a darle una edad un poco más joven que como se ve en la carta, al igual que una contextura mucho mas fornida. En el caso de los colores siempre me gusta iniciar con la piel, esta ocasión tome un tono medio arenoso para darle una base con ayuda de mi pincel plano, luego fui poco a poco oscureciendo la piel y aplicando sombran en las zonas mas bajas como en el cuello, la parte baja de la nariz y entre los dedos de las manos; ya habiendo terminado la piel me pase al pintado de los ojos, en este caso realice una mezcla de azules marinos y azul eléctrico y trate de crear una mirada levemente cerrada.
In the 2nd stage I took care of building the clothes of the character, in the case of the shirt I used gray tones and a bit of white not so pure, my idea here was that the shirt was slightly loose, but at the same time it would fit the torso and arms of (PIRATE CAPTAIN); then for the pants I used electric blue tones to create a wide looking pants, but with many folds, and for the scarf on his head I tried to give them the same tones so that the clothes would combine well. With shades of red and brown create a slightly open vest with small gold details and brooches on each side.
En la 2da etapa me ocupe de construir la ropa del personaje, en el caso de la camisa use tonos grises y un poco de blanco no tan puro, mi idea aquí era que la camisa fuese levemente holgada, pero que al mismo tiempo se acoplara al toros y brazos de (PIRATE CAPTAIN); después para los pantalones use tonos azules eléctricos para crear un pantalón con apariencia ancha, pero con muchos pliegues, y para la pañoleta de su cabeza trate de darles los mismo tonos para que se combinara bien la vestimenta. Con tonos rojos y marrones cree un chaleco levemente abierto con pequeños detalles de oro y broches en cada lado.
For the creation of the weapons I decided to start with blue tones and a little blue-white to give the metallic structure to both the sword and the pirate pistol, in the case of the sword I used blue to form the sleeve of the sword and with dark grays I created a sheath for the sword; then for the pistol I altered the blues a little for the barrel and the trigger, but for everything else I used brown to replicate the texture of wood on the sides. Finally, for the background my idea was to represent that the (PIRATE CAPTAIN) is aboard his big ship sailing the seas for this I used a lot of brown to create wooden railings right at the bottom, as well as a big mast covered by ropes which hold the sails of the ship.
Para la creación de las armas decidí empezar con tonos azules y un poco de blanco azulado para darle la estructura metálica tanto a la espada como a la pistola pirata, en el caso de la espada use los azules para formar el manga de la espada y con grises oscuros le cree una funda a la espada; después para la pistola alterne un poco los azules para la parte del cañón y el gatillo, pero para todo lo demás use marrones para replicar textura de madera en los lados. Finalmente, para el fondo mi idea fue representar que el (PIRATE CAPTAIN) esta aborde de su gran barco navegando los mares para esto use mucho color marrón para crear barandales de madera justo en el fondo, así como un gran mástil cubierto por cuerdas las cuales sostienen las velas del barco.
