Hello Everyone
How are you?
I hope you're doing well and leading a sound life. I will bring you another one of my artwork today. This one is also a digital drawing fan art of a monster of Splinterlands. I drew this one to participate in the weekly art contest arranged by @splinterlands. I'll add the link to the contest at the end. Check it out if you feel interested. In this post, I'll be sharing my drawing process, my tools and how I drew a fan art version of the original card quite different from the original. I hope you like my version.
The monster I drew today is named Karst Harpy. I used my laptop, graphics tablet, stylus drawing touch pen, and a drawing software named ibis Paint. I'll attach my drawing and the original image below and you can check it out. I'll also add the link to the contest at the end of my post. So, let's get started:-
Original Image
My Drawing
I began the drawing process by sketching the structure first. For that, I first made a basic sketch of the shape with some raw strokes with a 2b pencil with a lower transparency than usual. I also made the size of the pencil bigger to make the lines bold. After that, I added the details to it and then I drew the final borderlines by increasing the transparency of the same pencil tool.
Once I was done sketching the structure, now the colouring process began. For that, I first put the primary colour on the sketch for her skin tone and then added the primary colour on her eyes too. After that, I completed the skin tone of her facial area with multiple colour layers and colour strokes. I also completed colouring her eyes in this step.
Then, I completed the skin tone of her whole body. I added some colour layers and colour strokes too. To make the curves visible, I drew some brown and deep skin colour strokes too. And then I started to add the other details such as her items of clothing and her hair. I also drew her wings in this step. I started with adding the basic colours, then added the necessary small details and then enhanced those colours to increase the details.
The main part of the drawing is completed in the previous step. I then added some decorative details to make it full.
Final Image
I made some changes to her brasier and added a background to it. And here is the final result:-
