“XP” – The Art of Gaining Experience - IV. Originals

It’s time to turn back the clock again with my IV. Originals series! Today’s piece dates all the way back to March 7, 2021—back when I was deep into my daily 3D art practice. Ah, the “ancient times” before AI stepped onto the creative scene—can you believe how far we’ve come since then? It feels like another lifetime entirely!

This artwork is titled “XP”, and it’s much more abstract than my usual pieces. But honestly, that’s what I loved most about daily art back then: the freedom to experiment without limits and just have fun with it. Abstract art is special like that—it’s a bit like holding up a mirror to whoever’s looking at it. Everyone sees something different, and in that way, it’s like a Rorschach test for the imagination!

“XP” – A Universal Idea

The title of this piece is the only real hint it gives us: experience. Every single thing we do, every thought we have, every person we meet—it all adds to our XP. It’s like a neutral force in life, waiting to be shaped by how we perceive it.

To me, XP reflects a simple truth:

  • We can learn the most valuable lessons from our hardest struggles.
  • And sometimes, we can miss the point entirely in the easiest of moments.

The key? Mindset. Lately, I’ve been really fascinated by how much our mindset defines the reality we experience. By expanding our mindset—through connections, challenges, and stepping outside our comfort zones—we can expand our entire reality. That’s something I want to focus on more in 2025: growing my own mindset and helping others grow theirs.

On the Technical Side...

This piece was created the old-school way using Blender and Photoshop—no fancy AI tools in sight, just a mix of 3D modeling and digital post-processing. It’s funny how meditative the process used to feel, pushing my creativity and tools in ways I might not have explored otherwise.

Let’s Reflect Together

Abstract pieces like this are mirrors for the mind—so what do you see when you look at “XP”? What does XP mean to you? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Until tomorrow, stay curious, keep growing, and embrace the XP. Let’s keep leveling up, together!
