Les comparto mi entrada para el concurso de arte de @radaquest, específicamente tome como referencia a ✨Ayandira✨, la cual se me hizo hermosa para dibujarla a mi estilo. I started doing the sketch in traditional, because for me it is more feasible to do the sketch traditionally and then go to digital and improve or change certain things. I focused only on the face, since it's what I do the most and what I enjoy doing the most. I loved this character so much, her essence is so beautiful, so I tried to make her as beautiful as possible.
Comencé haciendo el boceto en tradicional, ya que para mi es mas factible hacer el boceto tradicionalmente y luego pasarlo al digital y mejorar o cambiar ciertas cosas. Me enfoque solamente en la cara, ya que es lo que mas hago y es lo que más disfruto hacer. Este personaje me encanto demasiado, su esencia es tan hermosa, así que intente hacerla lo bella posible.
When I have the sketch ready, what I do is take a picture of it with my cell phone and then I go to Clip Studio Paint, which is the drawing program I use and open a new canvas and paste the image in a layer and start to fix the sketch. I correct proportions and other things, so I have it clean and well defined before I start working on the color. I just make a simple line art, so that the drawing is well defined and now I start working on the color.
Cuando ya tengo el boceto listo, lo que hago es tomarle una foto con mi celular y luego me voy al Clip Studio Paint, en cual es el programa de dibujo que uso y abro un nuevo lienzo y pego la imagen en un capa y comienzo a hacerles los arreglos al boceto. Corrijo proporciones y demás cosas, para así tenerlo limpio y bien defino antes de comenzar a trabajar el color. Solo hago un line art sencillo, para que me quede el dibujo bien defino y ahora sí, comienzo a trabajar el color.

To work the color for Ayandira, I look at the colors of the original illustration and I go to the chromatic circle to assemble one where I can take colors and tones that go according to my tastes, but that do not lose the original colors, putting together a harmonious color palette in general. In the original character, we can see that the colors that stand out the most are white and orange, being in certain areas of the drawing shades of blue or light turquoise. So for my version, I wanted to use a triadic color combination, in which I included colors like yellow, red and purple, combining perfectly with each other, and I also left the white in sight, as we can see in the original illustration.
Para trabajar el color para Ayandira, me fijo en los colores de la ilustración original y me voy al circulo cromático para armar una en donde pueda tomar colores y tonos que vayan acorde a mis gustos, pero que no se pierdan los colores originales, armando una paleta de color armoniosa en general. En el personaje original, podemos ver que los colores que mas resaltan a la vista son el blanco y naranja, estando en ciertas zonas del dibujo tonos de azul o turquesa claro. Así que para mi versión, quise usar una combinación de colores triádica, en la cual incluí los colores como el amarillo, rojo y morado, combinando perfectamente entre en sí, ademas deje a la vista el blanco, como podemos ver en la ilustración original.

I start adding the base colors to the drawing, basically they are the color of the skin, hair, clothes and horns. Something I am also going to say, is that I wanted to work the color in more gray tones and not so saturated, to emphasize the clothes, since in a way my drawing is only a portrait and is not a full body like the original and so you can perceive that light tone of his clothes, according to me. After adding the base color, I start working the shadows in a new layer, starting with the light shadows and then the dark ones, both shadows I work them in different layers.
Comienzo agregando los colores base al dibujo, básicamente son el color de la piel, cabello, ropa y cuernos. Algo que también voy a decir, es que quise trabajar el color en tonos mas grises y no tan saturados, para hacer énfasis en la ropa, ya que de cierto modo mi dibujo solo es un retrato y no es a cuerpo completo como el original y así se puede percibir ese tono claro de su ropa, según yo. Luego de agregar el color base, me pongo a trabajar las sombras en una nueva capa, comenzando con las sombras claras y luego las oscuras, ambas sombras las trabajo en capas diferentes.

After working lights and shadows, I will detail the whole drawing, in a few words is to detail the skin, adding redness to it and detailing the face and the rest of the skin. I'm also adding some line art in parts where I need it and other details, I'm like this for a while, everything takes time. After that, I finish the illustration adding shines to it and making a background that goes or combines with the drawing and that's it friends, that would be all, I hope you like it as much as I do.
Luego de ello, me voy a agregar las luces, evidentemente las trabajo al igual que las sombras en capas diferentes. Luego de estar trabajando luces y sombras, me voy a detallar todo el dibujo, en pocas palabras es detallar la piel, agregando rojeces a la misma y detallando el rostro y el resto de la piel. También voy agregando cierto line art en partes donde lo requiera y demás detalles, así estoy un buen rato la verdad, todo toma su tiempo. Luego de eso, culmino la ilustración agregando brillos a la misma y haciendo un fondo que vaya o combine con el dibujo y listo amigos, eso seria todo, espero les guste tanto como a mí.
