To participate this week in the Splinterlands art contest, I decided to make a fanart of Lux Vega, a character that I had seen before, but I had never drawn, until his time came. Although this time I wanted to draw a bit traditional.

Para participar esta semana en el concursos de arte de Splinterlands, decidí hacer un fanart de Lux Vega, personaje que si había visto antes, pero que nunca había dibujado, hasta que llego su momento. Aunque esta vez quise dibujar un poco en tradicional.
I started making the sketch, taking as a reference a picture of a girl I found on Pinterest. Complementing the other elements and aspect of the original character to my version, so that it would have coherence. After a while, I had the sketch ready to start painting it.
Comencé haciendo el boceto, tomando como referencia una foto de una chica que encontré en Pinterest. Complementando los demás elementos y aspecto del personaje original a mi versión, para que así tuviese coherencia. Después de un rato, tuve el boceto listo para comenzar a pintarlo.

As usual, I only worked on a portrait for this drawing, that is to say, only the face, which was not a difficult task to structure. Before starting to add the watercolor, because yes, I painted with watercolors, what I did was to pass over the sketch with a moldable eraser to remove a little of the excess of graphite pencil.
Como es de costumbre, solo trabaje u retrato para este dibujo, es decir; solo el rostro, lo cual no fue una tarea difícil estructurar el mismo. Antes de comenzar a agregar la acuarela, porque sí, pinte con acuarelas, lo que hice fue pasar por encima del boceto un borrador moldeable para quitar un poco el exceso de lápiz grafito.

I took the colors from the original palette of the drawing and worked on them in my own way. I started by adding the skin color and some redness that I love to make my drawings look like that. Then I continued with the hair and other elements. I worked on everything little by little, since the watercolor took some time to dry and the truth is that I put a lot of layers of paint.
Tome los colores de la paleta original del dibujo y los trabaje a mi manera. Comencé agregando el color de la piel y algunas rojeces que me encanta que mis dibujos se vean así. Luego seguí con el cabello y demás elementos. Todo lo fui trabajando poco a poco, ya que la acuarela tarde un tiempo en secar y la verdad es que si pongo muchas capas de pintura.

After a few hours, I have the drawing ready for detailing and to add the details and line art I use colored pencils and a mechanical pencil. I know that many people recommend not to add black line art, but I love it and many of my drawings both in traditional and digital have it, so it is something you will always see in my drawings. I finish the drawing by adding some black highlights and that's it folks, that would be it.
Después de unas cuantas horas, tengo el dibujo listo para detallar y para agregar los detalles y el line art uso lapices de colores y un portaminas. Sé que muchos recomiendan no agregar line art en negro, pero a mi me encanta y muchos de mis dibujos tanto en tradicional como en digital lo tienen, así que es algo siempre van a ver en mis dibujos. Termino el dibujo agregando algunos brillos en negro y listo amigos, eso seria todo.
