Where does the inspiration for your art come from?
Isn't it always the unusual situations, strange occurrences and often funny thoughts from which inspiration arises? Every time you don't actually expect to find it?
Fascinating, I think. Because at least whenever I am actively seeking for it, my muse is hiding, the better the harder I try.
And then, all of a sudden, a really stupid thought comes around the corner and, bang, a little light shines in your head.

Woher kommt die Inspiration für deine Kunst?
Sind es nicht stets die ungewöhnlichen Situationen, merkwürdige Begebenheiten und oft auch lustige Gedanken, woraus Inspiration erwächst? Immer dann, wenn man sie eigentlich gar nicht erwartet zu finden?
Ich finde das faszinierend. Denn wann immer ich auch aktiv danach suche, versteckt sich die Muse, desto besser, je doller ich es versuche.
Und dann komm da plötzlich dieser, wirklich dumme Gedanke um die Ecke und, schwubs, schon leuchtet ein kleines Licht in deinem Kopf.
About the picture
Actually, I always have a lot of thoughts going through my head, but lately a little more.
No big deal, because I like to think about things. And sometimes I do it very intensively and a lot.
There are times when I so much about things that the world is flying by as if jet engines were attached to the back of my head. Sunken, deep in my thoughts.
In my head, time seems to run at normal speed, while everything around me speeds up.
Not long ago I noticed this condition again and found a name for it: "Jet Head".
Shortly thereafter, I caught my wife once lost in thoughts and asked: "Hey, got Jet Head?". She thought it was funny, so did I and because it was funny, I imagined a Jet Head in my mind. Which, of course, I thought was super funny at that moment.
I even thought it was funny enough to create a picture of it in Blender 3D and GIMP.
Wonderful, because now everyone can look at my Jet Head and possibly find it funny too. :-D
About 95% of my picture was done in Blender. The final work steps, I undertook in GIMP. In GIMP I did some photo-bashing and corrected the lighting here and there.

Über das Bild
Es geht mir eigentlich immer viel durch den Kopf, doch in letzter Zeit mal wieder etwas mehr.
Nicht schlimm, denn ich denke gern über Dinge nach. Zuweilen auch sehr intensiv und viel.
Manchmal so viel, dass die Welt nur so an mir vorbei zieht als wären Düsentriebwerke an meinem Hinterhaupt befestigt. Versunken, tief in meinen Gedanken.
In meinem Kopf scheint dann die Zeit mit normaler Geschwindigkeit abzulaufen, während alles um mich herum schneller wird.
Neulich ist mir das wieder mal aufgefallen und fand einen Namen für diesen Zustand: "Düsenkopf" (Jet Head)
Kurz darauf erwischte ich auch meine Frau einmal versunken in Gedanken und fragte: "Na, haste Düsenkopf?". Sie fands witzig, ich ebenso und weil es witzig war, stellte ich mir einen Düsenkopf bildlich vor. Was ich in diesem Moment natürlich super witzig fand.
Ich fand es sogar witzig genug, um mir davon ein Bild in Blender 3D und GIMP zu erstellen.
Wunderbar, denn jetzt kann jeder meinen Düsenkopf anschauen und eventuell ebenfalls witzig finden. :-D
Ungefähr 95% meines Bildes sind in Blender entstanden. Die letzten Arbeitsschritte, unternahm ich in GIMP. Darin tat ich dem Bild noch ein wenig Photo-Bashing an und korrigierte hier und da die Beleuchtung.

Well. I used Photoshop for the first time a bit ago on someone else's machine and it was like driving a Porsche compared to driving a pick up.
I love trucks and would rather have a pick up than a Posrche. Really
