Today I bring you a new alien work called Mutations.
I started this drawing from a sketch that wasn't looking good at all, hahaha, so what I did was to fix the proportions and started to invent on the body to create a kind of alien with a monster mouth inside his stomach and breasts, plus what are two flowers that replace his head and his left arm. We also notice that its legs and arm are attached to the ground by a pair of branches. This drawing is made with the graphite technique on paper. The drawing was born out of the need to create something surreal, strange and a bit horrifying, and I think I succeeded.
Below I leave a couple of images with a brief description under them explaining and showing the drawing process. I hope you enjoy it.
Step by step:
I started my sketch with a 2B pencil. I kept adding and subtracting things, actually my first idea was to add the mouths with fangs and then it occurred to me to add the detail on the head and his left hand. To complement those details I added the branches that connect the leg to the arm and the leg to the ground. I also left a detail of deterioration on the elbow of his left arm, you can see the loose skin and lumps of exposed flesh.
I started by using a B pencil to give a base shadow and direction to the stroke, then used the 2B pencil to darken a bit and highlighted the stronger shadows with a 4B pencil.
Inside the mouths I drew with the 10B pencil to give them a better depth effect, I also used this tone for the hole of her flowers and the crack on her left leg. For the lighter shadows I used a pencil H. In the mouth of his stomach, being the biggest, I decided to add a tongue, this in a fictitious scenario would serve him to capture his prey and swallow it from there.
With the pencil B and its sharpened putan I was making this base shadow that I am so used to do, in the left part on the branches and the flower of his hand. With pencils B, 2B and 4B I created the shadows of her legs and the rest of the drawing. I tried to do a careful work with the lines since they would represent the volumes and contrasts, so I wanted it to be as good as possible.
At the end I kept working on the shadows and kept polishing the drawing. When the shadows were ready I used a moldable eraser to add those lights on the edges opposite to the light exposure making lights reflection, to which I also added light on the parts of the chest, shoulder, flowers, etc. For the background I grabbed the 2H pencil and created a really light graphite layer, not dark at all, and with the B and 4B pencils I drew the shadow of her body on the ground. The ground I drew with a B pencil.

Hola amigos de Hive. Bienvenidos a un nuevo post. Espero que esten bien, les deseo un hermoso día.
El dia de hoy les traigo un nuevo trabajo alienígena llamado Mutaciones.
Inicié este dibujo a partir de un boceto que no me estaba quedando para nada bien, jajaja, entonces lo que hice fue arreglar las proporciones y empecé a inventar sobre el cuerpo para crear una especie de alienígena con una boca monstruo dentro de su estómago y sus pechos, además de lo que son dos flores que reemplazan su cabeza y su brazo izquierdo. También notamos que sus piernas y brazo están unidos al suelo por un par de ramas. Este dibujo esta hecho con la técnica de grafito sobre papel. El dibujo nació por la necesidad de querer crear algo surreal, extraño y un poco horroroso, y creo que lo conseguí.
A continuación les dejo un par de imágenes con una breve descripción bajo ellas explicando y mostrando el proceso del dibujo. Espero que lo disfruten.
Paso a paso:
Empecé mi boceto con un lápiz 2B. Fui agregando y quitando cosas, realmente mi primera idea fue añadir las bocas con colmillos y después se me ocurrió agregar el detalle en la cabeza y su mano izquierda. Para complementar esos detalles agregué las ramas que conectan la pierna al brazo y las pierna a la tierra. Tambien dejé un detalle de deterioro en el codo de su brazo izquierdo, se puede ver la piel suelta y los bultos de carne expuesta.
Empecé usando un lápiz B para dar una sombra base y dirección al trazo, después usé el lápiz 2B para oscurecer un poco y remarque las sombras más fuertes con un lápiz 4B.
Adentro de las bocas dibujé con el lápiz 10B para darles un mejor efecto de profundidad, este tono también lo usé para el orificio de sus flores y la grieta que tiene en la pierna izquierda. Para las sombras más claras use un lápiz H. En la boca de su estómago, al ser la mas grande, decidí agregarle una lengua, esto en un escenario ficticio le serviría para capturar sus presas y tragarselas por ahí.
Con el lapiz B y su putan afilada fui haciendo esta sombra base que tanto acostumbro a hacer, en la parte izquierda sobre las ramas y la flor de su mano. Con los lápices B, 2B y 4B fui creando las sombras de sus piernas y resto del dibujo. Trate de hacer un trabajo cuidadoso con las lineas ya que estas representarían los volúmenes y contrastes, por lo que quise que fuera lo mejor posible.
Al final seguí trabajando en las sombras y seguí puliendo el dibujo. Cuando ya estaban listas las sombras usé un borrador moldeable para añadir esas luces en los bordes contrarios a la exposición de la luz haciendo de luces reflejo, a lo que también agregué luz en las partes del pecho, hombro, flores, etc. Para el fondo agarré el lápiz 2H y cree una capa de grafito realmente clara, nada oscura, y con los lápices B y 4B dibujé la sombra de su cuerpo en el suelo. El suelo lo dibujé con un lápiz B.
