Hola amigos de Hive... Soy Samuel, tengo 26 años y soy artista visual, de la Habana, Cuba. Me encanta el Arte en todas sus expresiones, precisamente por eso me especializo en Artes Plásticas, como dibujo y pintura académica realista, también hago de las mías con la fotografía, pues me parece un medio sublime para plasmar ideas y emociones y estoy incursionando de a poco en las nuevas técnicas como el arte digital.
Todo este amor e interés al arte y dibujo primordialmente se lo debo a mi Abuela, desde muy temprana edad, con apenas yo 3 años la tenía a ella enseñándome a dibujar, me dibujaba todos mis personajes favoritos y yo intentaba imitarla, sin dudas ha sido mi mejor maestra, ella hoy en día está muy orgullosa de mí y de ver mi progreso.
Tengo algunas pequeñas nociones sobre tocar guitarra y piano, no soy el más ducho por falta de interés y práctica realmente, pues dedico mi tiempo a pintar y dibujar que es lo mío.
Me apasionan los comics, esos universos de superhéroes ficticios que en algunos casos pueden aportar a la realidad valores y principios, soy fan #1 de Batman... Desde hace algunos años me gusta coleccionar cosas, todo lo que me haga feliz. Mi colección más genial hasta el momento es de figuras de acción escala un sexto de personajes de DC, sobre todo del universo del Hombre murciélago (The Batman)
Uno de mis grandes sueños es poder trabajar como dibujante e ilustrador con un buen equipo de animación para alguna compañía importante y así poder desplegar mi arte para llegar a nuevas generaciones y honrar las pasadas.
Me gusta la literatura, sobre todo la poesía, la que también abordo de manera personal y sin muchas reglas ni límites, el ser humano puede llegar a ser muy profundo y bello sin necesidad de tanta parafernalia ni directrices. Mi escritor y poeta favorito es el universal José Martí, también me agrada bastante la literatura de Walt Whitman, su intrepidez y dimensión literaria son dignas de estudio Entre otros podría mencionar a Ernest Hemingway, Bukowski, Edgar Allan Poe, Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer etc.
La música es una parte vital de mis días, muchas veces la necesito en casi todo momento, me trae paz y me permite no estar solo con mis pensamientos, pues siempre no son los más optimistas. Disfruto distintos géneros e intérpretes, a pesar de mi edad me decanto por la música de épocas anteriores, lo más contemporáneo no mucho es de mi interés. Muchos llaman a esto ser un alma vieja, quién sabe si es verdad.
La justicia va ligada a mi ser de manera profunda, pues no tolero ni gestiono bien las injusticias humanas, siento que todo puede ser mejor incluyendo el propio ser humano, y que la clave de todo está en ser agradecido, sentir como sienten otros, y obrar para mejor del prójimo y por consiguiente de nosotros mismos. Pues hacer bien a los demás es hacernos el propio bien.
De igual forma utilizo como recurso para la paz mental el ejercicio físico, es un tratamiento a mi entender no solo para el cuerpo pues también apacigua el alma, me encanta ir al gimnasio y todo ese mundo que se vive dentro de él, levantar pesas y entrenar me hace bien y como deporte me encanta el culturismo, toda esa búsqueda de la perfección estética va ligada en parte a la mejora constante de nuestra especie y su ansia de superación. Lo que sí es está claro que no solo debemos buscar la mejora del envoltorio, sino más bien la interna, la que nos pertenece realmente y no es prestada como lo físico...
A pesar de ser joven aún, me siento afortunado de conocer ya lo que es el amor verdadero, llegó a mi vida hace 3 años y desde ese entonces comparto mi vida con ella, mi Claudia, nos casamos hace relativamente poco tiempo y no hace más que traer felicidad y complicidad a mi vida.
Por otro lado, disfruto mucho de los animales, sobre todo de los afectivos, siento esa conexión con su realidad, que muchas veces se torna un poco dura para los que no tienen hogar ni los cuidados adecuados... de todos ellos mi favorito por mucho son los gatos, son seres mágicos la verdad y solo quién ha sido amado por uno de ellos sabe a lo que me refiero.
Bueno, estas entre otras, son las pequeñas cosas que me hacen feliz y hacen de mi el hombre que soy.
Me gustaría aquí en Hive poder compartir más de mi trabajo, ser de ayuda y aportar en todo lo que pueda, contar de mi vida y de mis metas por alcanzar. Pienso que la comunidad podrá brindarme su amistad y conocimientos para nutrirme y así ser una parte más de esta gran familia.
