Phantom Lady Vs C.O.B.R.A.

Phantom Lady, one of the Real Superheroines of Hive Valley, off on a solo adventure invading the secret lair of COOOOOBRAAAAA! Tried to demonstrate her invisibility by partially airbrushing out some of the color layer and then removing the ink outline. Probably would have worked better using the Gradient Erase tool, but whatever. Which looks better, slide 1 or slide 2:

Yeah that second one doesn't say "invisible" to me at all.

Anyway, drawn using Clip Studio Paint Pro on a Surface Pro 4. Here is the time lapse video:
Whoops! Scratch that. YouTube appears to have removed the option to get the embed code for my video. Well if you care to watch the drawing process in less than a minute, here is the link:

And here is the B&W version:

The first one works a bit better. I always wonder if invisible people can seem themselves. Some things are tricky if you don't know where your hands and feet are.

And if they can see themselves, can they see other invisible people? In a Fantastic Four comic, it was shown that the Invisible Woman could also cancel someone else's invisibility. But, she couldn't see them...

I was reminded of The Visible Man where only his skin was see-through. My peak comic reading was in the early days of 2000AD and Action comics.

There was also Invisible Boy from Mystery Men. His power was that he could only turn invisible if no one was watching him.

🤣🤣🤣 you are right, sometimes it is better to be able to see each other. Congratulations on the drawing, I like it so much.

Not sure how Clip Studio works, but isn't there a layer option for transparency? Works for me on Procreate if trying to make more invisible or ghostly effects

Yes, you can adjust the layer opacity in Clip Studio. The problem for me is that I use a shortcut to color the image which colors the entire layer. If I took the time to actually make a separate layer for Phantom Lady I could do that.
