Time to slow down. Time to rethink things before moving forward. I build myself a fort to shelter myself and wait there, warm, safe, for the storm outside to stop, or to reduce its intensity.
That outside is what is really inside, what burns, what pierces and digs deeper. So I ask to myself, is hiding in this shell a shelter or is it drowning in the inner abyss?
Slowly but desperately I build my little fort with threads coming out from under my skin. They are not soft. They can be strong as needles. I wrap myself in them and wait, wait for more strength. But I am not inactive. I find myself more active than ever, but on other levels. Making other connections. Internal, to me, undetectable to the unseeing. And here I remain, until further notice.
The first two drawings are several years old. The last one is a few nights old and is in process... everything has to do with everything.
- Tiempo de frenar. Tiempo de repensar las cosas antes de avanzar. Me construyo un fuerte para resguardarme y aguardo allí, caliente, a salvo, a que la tempestad de afuera se detenga, o disminuya su intensidad.
Lo de afuera es lo de adentro en verdad, lo que quema, lo que horada y cava más profundo. Entonces me pregunto. Encerrarme en esta coraza es resguardo o es ahogarse en el abismo interior?
Lenta pero desesperadamente construyo mi pequeño fuerte con hilos que salen de debajo de mi piel. No son suaves. Pueden ser fuertes como una aguja. Me envuelvo en ellos y espero, espero a que haya más fortaleza. Pero no estoy inactiva. Me encuentro más activa que nunca, pero en otros niveles. Realizando otras conexiones. Internas, para mí, indetectables para el que no sabe ver. Y aquí me quedo, hasta nuevo aviso.
Los primeros dos dibujos tienen varios años. El último tiene unas noches y se encuentra en proceso... todo tiene que ver con todo
