Hello everyone! Welcome back to another Splinterlands fan art post. For this fan art, I have drawn Tarsa, a Rare Summoner from the Chaos Legion card set. This is an Art entry of the weekly contest in Splinterlands. If you would like to participate, here is the link - Splinterlands Art Contest Week 318! in Splinterlands. And here is the card reference image of Tarsa.
Creating this fan art of Tarsa was a fun. I began with a clear image in my mind of Tarsa, a character known for her fiery personality and powerful aura. As described in her Lore, I wanted to bring out her fierce energy and strength through this fan art.
First, I started with a line. I kept the lines soft and loose, making it easy to adjust as I went along. I focused on capturing her stance—strong, confident, and with one hand raised, as if she was controlling fire. This pose would highlight her fiery personality. For her face, I added sharp features to convey her intense expression and made sure to give her bold eyes, a feature that would make her look powerful and fierce.
Once I was happy with the line art, I started refining the lines, adding more details to the face, hair, and clothes. Tarsa's hair was especially important because I wanted it to look like flames, so I drew it flowing and sharp, almost like fire itself. For her outfit, I added the small details on her blouse and dress to capture her original blouse and dress, referencing the original art to stay true to her character design.
Next, I moved on to coloring. I chose bold, fiery colors for her hair, using bright reds and oranges to make it look like it was glowing with heat. I wanted her hair to be the focus, so I spent time blending colors to create a flame effect. For her eyes, I used a glowing yellow-orange color to show her power, making them appear as if they were lit from within.
Then, I shaded her skin and clothes to add depth, using darker tones to create shadows that made the image look more three-dimensional. Finally, I added a flame in her raised hand, making it appear as though she was conjuring fire. I used bright yellows, oranges, and reds, adding light effects around the flame to make it look intense and hot.
After the colors and shading were done, I reviewed the drawing for any final touches. I adjusted some shadows, highlighted parts of her hair, and added a dark, smoky background to make Tarsa stand out even more. The background was simple but effective in bringing attention to her fiery appearance.
