Hello everyone. Here's to a good start to the new week. The rainy season has arrived here and it's going to be wet and cheerful. 😅 Pfew, I'm literally swimming away here. 🙃 Maybe that's why I chose the mermaid today? At least I'll be entering this one in this week's Splinterlands Art Contest.
Well, I thought she was super cute in general and wanted to try out what she would look like if I created a variant. I hope you like it too. Here are a few slightly different variations.

Hallöchen alle zusammen. Auf einen guten Start in die neue Woche. Hier ist die Regenzeit eingetroffen und es wird feucht fröhlich. 😅 Pfew, ich schwimm hier förmlich weg. 🙃 Vielleicht ist daher meine heutige Wahl auf die Meerjungfrau gefallen? Zumindest werde ich heute mit dieser an dem dieswöchigen Splinterlands Art Contest teilnehmen.
Nun ja, ich fand sie im allgemeinen super süß und wollte mal probieren wie sie aussehen würde, wenn ich eine Variante kreiere. Ich hoffe sie gefällt euch auch.
First lines. This time I had recorded more individual steps of the sketch.
Ersten Linien. Diesmal hatte ich mehr Einzelschritte der Skizze festgehalten.
In my variation, our little mermaid should have something diva-like about her. Hence this position. You can't see it, but the basic idea was that she's holding a microphone in her less visible hand. 🤣 Underwater music.
Unsere kleine Meerjungfrau sollte in meiner Variation etwas divenhaftes an sich haben. Daher diese Position. Man sieht es zwar nicht, aber die Grundidee war, dass sie in der weniger sichtbaren Hand ein Mikrofon hält. 🤣 Unterwassermusik.
I took a classic approach to the background, as I already knew how I wanted it to look. The scenario takes place in the depths of the ocean.
Ganz klassisch widmete ich mich dem Hintergrund, da ich scchon wusste wie ich diesen haben will. Das Szenario spielt sich ja in den Tiefen des Ozeans ab.
Brief insights into the number of layers. One layer for the sketch, one for the rough shading, one for the background and one for adding colors.
Kurze Einblicke der Ebenenanzahl. Eine Ebene für die Skizze, eine für die grobe Schattierung, eine für den Hintergrund und eine zum Farben einbringen.
So, now I'm almost finished. For this little gif animation I had only created color variations of my fanart.
So, nun bin ich bald fertig. Für diese kleine Gif Animation hatte ich lediglich noch Farbvarianten meiner Fanart kreiert.
