It’s less to do with illustrating though. I find that planning the night before, since I already know the challenge, helps me execute on the day of.
For example, I don’t know where I’m going to get tacos, either homemade or store-bought, but having it on my mind, I’m brainstorming as I write and photograph.
I’ll have to tune in to see your work come along too! And I’m cheering for you. Challenging yourself each day turns out to be something of a reward when you’re done, I’ve felt.

I had plans to prepare better for Inktober this year, but life does not care about the plans we make. I did a bit of brainstorming for each prompt days before it started. No time for sketches though. It would have been big enough boost to feel more comfortable. It is what it is. I do what I can now and it is alright.
