Took me a couple of days to get the second piece of this series done, because I just got too much art to do at the moment. But I am happy it is finished and I hope the community will like it.

This time I want to introduce you to #11 - the Guardian Bee.
#11 Guardian Bee
#11 is the Guardian Bees, who protect the HIVE by attacking, and if needed sting intruders regardless of the consequences. Even if it results in the loss of their own lives. They also release pheromones to warn the bees inside the HIVE of possible dangers. Better watch out!

To give you an insight on the creation process I wanted to share some W.I.P. images with you. As usual I started out with doing some research and get a rough sketch done.
After being happy with the sketch and the overall structure of the character I mostly move on to do some nice and clean outlines for my artworks. Especially when I am going for a more comic book like style, like I do for this series.
Once I am finished with the outlines, the next step is to find a color palette for my image. I definitely tried to use similar colors like the ones I used for the previous Chef Bee, just to make them all fit together in this series.
The Final Version of the Guardian Bee
After coloring it is really up to bringing it all together. Do the Shading, the Lighting to give some dimension and volume to the artwork. I add some textures, maybe some special effects, just to bring it all to life. And also very important add a Background that fits the theme.
I tried my best and hope the community will be happy with this piece 😊
For the Guardian Bee it was very important to me to make it look like it could be from the same tribe as the Chef Bee. But I also wanted to make it look like a proper badass guardian. Therefore I made it much stronger and added armor, to make it look like it could actually defend the HIVE.
