Hello from my office on this lovely Wednesday!
I had a really good night’s sleep last night, but I still find myself feeling a bit tired and sleepy today. It’s funny—sometimes, even after a solid rest, it takes a little while for your body to catch up. I think it’s because I just had my first real break in a long time. The public holidays on Monday and Tuesday gave me a rare four days off.
It’s been a while since I had the luxury of straight-up four days to myself. This time, the Monday and Tuesday public holiday gave me the perfect opportunity to unwind, recharge, and truly disconnect. I opted for a self-catering holiday at home. Yes, I decided to be the master of my own time, with the freedom to set my own pace, do whatever I wanted, and indulge in the little joys of life that often get overshadowed by work.
But here's the thing: while those four days felt like a dream at the time, it turns out that even a self-catering holiday can leave you feeling a little sluggish when it’s all over. Maybe it’s the fact that I was so fully immersed in relaxation that it’s hard to jump back into the workweek with full energy. Or maybe it’s just the body’s way of saying, "Hey, you were onto something, but let’s ease back into things slowly."
Getting this post going is what's keeping me from yawning. I am so resistant to office hours, I wonder how people survive a 9/5. Except maybe a job with activities that get you up and moving and not just sitting behind a desk.
I did a little upgrade on my last positive monster girl illustration by making it full figure

They were supposed to be assets for seamless patterns but so far I've only created one
Until next time, I’m off to take walk to get water I don't need. Let’s keep it easy, keep it chill, and I'll be back tomorrow with more art and life report!
