Greetings to all, this is the second part of the post about the darkness behind creativity. This time I want to deepen the topic a little more, including the experience of the third muse, I feel that we are counting down a little with these muses.

Anyway, I think something we all experience when we are in the presence of a muse is the strangeness and at the same time naturalness of their behavior. They are usually very immersed in their own world and at no time are they affected by ours even if we have already told them that they are or somehow demonstrated that they are what inspires us. Whenever my muses have this kind of attitude the thought automatically crosses my mind that the muses are everything to us but we (the artists) will be nothing to the muse.

I know, it sounds a bit pessimistic but there is something very interesting behind it. All the muses I have had always have a very constant attitude which is to be extremely delicate, not only in the physical aspect but also in every word they pronounce, the elegant way in which when they point with their fingers the tips of these are gathered showing a bit of shyness in every movement, the nervous or relaxed laughter, the deep eyes in which we usually drown ourselves and that strange lack of conscience that children usually have in which again, they are immersed, stuck in their own nebula.

By creating such an impact on us artists, I find it very strange the fact that none of them was aware of this affectation. On this occasion I would like to present one of the drawings that although simple, has a lot of emotionality about what I felt when I physically lost this muse.

Marco was without a doubt the most affectionate muse I had, although following all the cold and ethereal parameters, he was much more open and friendly. After all his job was to help, but it was something that really changed the dynamic from muse to artist. Thanks to his impact my inner world began to take shape and eventually I managed to make it useful to me.

When he himself began to ask me to write about the times we saw each other I created a whole book in the form of little comics to get him more and more into how my head was working according to his interactions, my mind literally it became the famous study method of creating a mental palace, only I didn't create a mental palace but a forest.

In this way, I was always in a mental exercise studying my muse to the environment and depending on the part of the forest other things, I used to have in writings a small map of in which regions each occupation of my life was handled as well as the "rooms" of the mental palace.

Going back to the title what can happen in case the muse is obscure? To be honest, none of my four muses has been clear, most of them are very dark people who call me in the way already explained.

The first aspect that can be taken as good but at the same time detrimental would be the "Hyperfocus": Leaving aside that we may have some special interest and want to focus on that I feel that the muses especially the dark ones consume us. This type of muse can maintain all the characteristics mentioned above and still be dark because of the personality and arrogance that can add to this ethereal behavior, obsessive thoughts can be generated and the artist by not controlling the inspiration or concentration that feels for this can feel dragged and sometimes with no way out. In my case even locked in these ideas.

Despite this, as we said in the first post it is not clearly about the real person but about an idea or influence that is detrimental to the artist, but this influence can come from different sources such as our doubts as artists, a bad relationship with the muse or even with the work.

I think this type of muse perfectly defines the stages when the artist is in conflict with his own art and seeks to externalize it in some way. After this I think the second most important aspect is to recognize what you are externalizing with the muses, I think at this point it can become something more positive. Since this way it can be identified as something else that is not completely our center (which I think should be ours alone). The muse comes to play a role and we can somehow categorize this feeling and use it to our advantage, it is well known that light cannot exist without darkness.

My muses are the darkness I need to express and categorize their essence in a given space. I see myself as a neutral space, acting as the light that cannot coexist without the darkness that comes from every aspect of the world, filtering it to become part of my creativity and finding the balance between my multiple inspirations, which ultimately combine to create a unique and harmonious whole in my creative forest. For the moment this will be all I touch on theoretically with the muses and somewhat reflectively, I'd love to hear about your experiences with your muses. Thanks for reading until next time.

Very good work this series of the muse. It is very interesting how the pieces of this curious puzzle come together, which motivated you to create this artwork.
