I can't tell you how many times I've witnessed somebody get started on Hive and do great their first week or so. Then, when they make a post that gets little to no upvotes they just decide to quit and disappear.
My brother (@atis94) did something similar five years ago. I invited him. He posted a few times, and then he left. And he do not even want to come back to the platform. Not even after I told/showed him the huge help I received from the Hive blockchain in the previous few years. It is very hard to invite people, who will be active on the platform in long term.
My gf and brother are good examples. I helped each of them record some of the best introduction videos I've seen on here... they each made over $100 on their first post... then basically never posted anything again besides a few things well over a year ago. Sad that I can't get my loved ones to commit, but you can't force them. This kind of work isn't for everyone, at least not yet.
Wow. I have not heard such a thing so far. I saw that many people left after earning nothing or only a few cents with their posts. This is the opposite of that, and they still leave. I would not even thought that anyone would leave in this case. By the way, none of my posts earned $100 so far. Not even anything close to it.
Most people are just totally used to making companies money from their data. This whole idea of getting paid to create is still just so foreign. Even though they’ve watched me quit my job and really be able to pursue this stuff, they still show no interest.
