Continuum Seer - Splinterlands art contest week 332

in Alien Art Hive5 days ago

Hey! Nite Nite!
How r u ? I made this drawing a couple of days ago, but I’m resting 😁, so I didn’t post it earlier. But well, it’s all good! Here’s my submission for the weekly Splinterlands art contest

I’ve seen some new cards, the designs are interesting, and I liked quite a few of them.

After thinking it over for a bit, I picked one. I like to record videos of what I do, edit them at some point and show how I did it, but sometimes it bothers me so much when I lose part of it. I was recording for this and after a failure it disappeared, but I left part of the process in images, here’s the step by step

This is the character I used as a reference

Continuum Seer

Her Lore :
Sain Mire is a seer of the Continuum, an order of mages able to manipulate time. They can slow it down, speed it up, and even pull back the curtain to glimpse the possible futures.

Sain works closely with the Riftwatchers, providing strategic recommendations to keep the flames of the rebellion burning bright. It is she who foretold the coming of the battle mage and sent the Dauntless to meet them in the Kingdom of Thanaloria.

The battle for Mox City will prove to be a decisive point in the rebellion, and Sain Mire hopes that, with her predictions and counsel, the uprising will not fail. However, the Continuum has found that the accuracy of such predictions are highly inconsistent; with its infinite variables, the future is never set in stone.

1.png First, I did the sketch, a bit messy. I didn’t want it to be too detailed, just enough to guide me.2.png I used a layer with a clipping mask and added some base colors. I didn’t start with gray this time.

-.-

✨✨✨

3.png I worked on the background, but nothing major. Since I was planning to change it later, I wasn’t too worried about it. I added some lighting and shadows, but nothing too intense.4.png I wanted to do something different with this one, so I tried to avoid the blur and used a harder brush. Slowly worked on the details of the clothes and other bits. The dark lineart bothered me a bit, so lowering the opacity was perfect.

-.-

✨✨✨

5.png Finally, I worked on the face. This drawing style isn’t something I usually do, so it was a bit of a challenge for me 😂. But I wanted to see if it worked, so all good! Oh, I also made some changes to the background6.jpgThere were still some things left to do, but before that, I had to fix some details that bugged me, like the hair and something on the head... The horns looked weird 🤔😳. I don’t know, I can never be satisfied, it’s tough 😂.

-.-

To finish it, I just added a few details, improved the power, the magic clock, and the background, which I left a bit blurred. OMG yes, yes the tail, I had forgotten the tail lol

-.-

Thank you very much for taking the time to view my work.
