As the old saying says…

First impression lasts!

I admire people who put effort into expressing themselves well when it comes to clothing and makeup.

One fashionista to name that I personally know? No other than my Mom! She likes to dress up with classic pieces that don’t go out of style easily. I’ll never forget how my classmates in grade school used to admire her whenever she pays me a visit or attends to a parent’s meeting.

Every girl in the class loves how she manages to look perfectly glammed-up. I was always proud to tell that she’s my Mom.
Our family is not rich, not even close to being in a middle class. She doesn’t own a single branded item. She’s a simple woman yet looks so classy!

My Mom is a beautiful woman and a fashionista. Mana-mana lang yan!

In fairy tales, it’s totally not cool… to base a person’s character by their outer appearance.

A princess that disguised as a grumpy old lady who hides in the woods.

Real life is far from fairy tales!

Most humans judge others by how they look. Specifically, at the first meeting! It’s a bad cultural norm. I agree! But let’s be honest… Most often, we feel like we need to be presentable to get people’s approval. That’s why from meeting the parents of your girlfriend for the first time, to a job interview, or even when going to a first date… We spend a lot of time to look at our best!

Inspecting how people dress tickles my imagination.
It allows me to gather clues about a person's life. I’d like to confess something. Whenever I get to be in a room full of people, my eyes lurk around. Hoping to discover someone who was nicely dressed. I create stories in my head and wonder about their career, Where are they heading today? Etcetera.

It’s not easy to plan daily clothes, this applies if your job doesn’t require to wear a uniform.

For fashionistas, picking what to wear daily can be awful! Having so many clothes in your closet is like being in a room full of weapons. You have no idea what to pick on the battlefield. It’s the main reason why building a capsule wardrobe always helps!
I highly recommend this to fashionistas who are always on the go. You’ll never have to worry and panic every morning. Never again!

Consider this little advice to pull-off the right outfit of the day!

The weather

Stay updated with the latest weather especially if you’re a commuter. In the Philippines, we only have two types of seasons. Wet and Dry.

The place

The first thing to consider above is easy. But if you travel a lot to places with weather far from ours you should invest in coats and jackets. Although you can still wear them here in the Philippines if you’re going to cold places like Tagaytay, and Baguio. Maybe even inside your office. Cold indoor places exist too!

Be comfortable!

You’ll feel more confident when you’re comfortable. That’s why you must know how to choose the right size and texture that is close to describing Cloud-9.

Know your body type.

This is to get the right pieces that will flatter your body assets.

Be playful. Have fun!

Don’t be afraid to mix and match. And create your own signature style. Dressing up is a form of self-expression. Just be you!

I love fashion so much but through the years I've become so laid back. Might as well go back to mixing and matching clothes again.

PS Your mom is such a darling.
