Here's the sixth instalment of the #QCC concept - you can win stuff for a comment - there's 50 Ecency points and some chunky comment-votes on offer. It's designed around a quick comment, but could be a good opportunity for you to open some relationships with others by engaging with them on their comment.
𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒚
Post a single photo in the comments below of a beach, ocean, river, creek, waterfall or lake you've personally been to, and in no more than fifty (50) words tell us about it. You only have thirty (30) hours to get your comment in - if you use the Peakd front-end there is a countdown timer on this post.
▶️ The photo must be your own - No stock images!
𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆
A single image that you took personally of a beach, ocean, river, lake, waterfall or creek - and your comment has to be under the fifty (50) word count. Be creative, interesting and fun.
𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏
I'll transfer fifty (50) Ecency points to some of the comments and vote with larger than usual comment-votes than I would usually - but your comment has to meet the criteria above. (I will ask a few of my buddies to throw some votes in too.)
Note: If your comment and image is interesting it is more likely to get my attention for votes and Ecency points. Be creative and put in a little effort you'll have more chance of getting rewarded.
It's not complicated:
One photo that matches the criteria above and up to fifty words about it in a comment below - Be creative.
I will never ask anyone to reblog my posts but considering I'm giving away free stuff you may know someone who could use it, a new user perhaps. So if you feel like letting them know so they have a chance at free stuff for just for a comment please do so - It may also provide them some much-needed exposure.

I once camped on a unique river; it was made of rocks and didn't have sandy edges. I had to set up a tent on the rocks while listening to the sound of the rushing river water all night. The photo is when I enjoyed coffee there in the morning.
It really is a unique river, I love the rocks, the formations and the landscape is amazing!😍
There are many unique things that we can find if we go out and be outdoors.
There is a feeling of fear and horror when you stand on the edge of the rock, but for me, it was a very pleasant sensation.
I've had him stand on the rocks, it's like a feeling of freedom or something like that. It's really cool!
Yes, you are completely right, @avdesing.
You will feel small when you are in nature, and that makes us reflect a lot on our existence in nature. I did it when I was there.
We derive from it, and it is the source of everything, its energy is powerful, I hope humanity realises this. Thank you!
That looks like a pretty cool spot, amazing rock formations...the power of water huh?
Yes, the rock formations there are definitely due to the power of water.
It's an amazing place that I've ever visited, and one day I will return there again with a rubber boat.
It'll be cool if you get a chance to raft on it.
Yes, I also imagined that it would be really cool to be able to go rafting there.
Have you ever done that somewhere?
I sort of did, I'm not much of a fan of white water rafting. I own kayaks though and go yakking all the time.
Kayaking is also really fun, right?
I've done this for solo fishing, but my movements became very limited when the fish hit my bait.
It would be lovely to listen sounds of water. It gives peace to ears.
Water has a calming effect...unless there's a lot of water all at once, like flooding, and then it can be devastating.
Last year, flood destroyed so many cities in my country. Those cities are citizens were in devasted condition. There is a singer "Hadiqa kiani" who built more than 200 houses for flood affected families.
Yeah, we get that most years too, rather devastating for those areas that are affected.
Yes, you are absolutely right. It becomes part of therapy if someone enjoys it.
It is very pleasant to enjoy at night before bed in the dark.
Man, this place reminds me of our recent trip to Sylhet. I'm absolutely loving the view from your camera.
That is a beautiful place. Was it scary with all those ghosts in the trees???
It's Halloween night here, I'm seeing ghosts everywhere. 😄
Lake Como is an amazing place right?
I cannot disagree, you know that. 😉
Becca 💗
Italy always has special place in my heart. This picture is so beautiful.
It's a beautiful place...when did you go there and what places did you visit?
Becca 🌷
What a beautiful lake, one day I will visit Italy, I would love to! What a beautiful view Becca!😍
It sure is, and surrounding it are so many wonders, so many amazing places to discover. I love the area and would like to return someday.
Becca 🌷
You will surely come back and enjoy these beautiful places.❤️
Ha, I love the angle of this one!!
The plane was banking giving a better view of my house...ok, it's not mine at all but if it was I'd not mind at all.
Becca 🌷
I wouldnt mind owning that one either!
Go halves, like a timeshare?
Becca 🌷
Lol. Consider it done!!
Raiding piggy bank even as I type this.
Becca 🌷
Now, that's one beautiful view. Damn!
Lago di Como is beautiful from anywhere, including above it.
Becca 🌷
Until I read the follow-up, I didn't even notice the window reflection. I think it's a cool photo despite that. Love how the greenery surrounds the building + an accessible waterbody, ah, my kind of place. :)
It was an amazing experience and despite being a little costly was worth it.
Becca 🌷
So beautiful with the vivid greenery around the white buildings.
Such a great view.
It was such a beautiful way to see Lago di Como; the float plane experience was amazing in itself, but over the lake and the Swiss Alps...so incredible.
Becca 🌷
Cool photo!
Thank you sir, it was an amazing flight over an amazing place.
Becca 🌷
Nothing could be better time than having this comment. Just wandering on the sand of Puri beach and sipping some fresh coconut water. That makes a good day. Though beer is more preferable at most beaches ,this is a pilgrimage location so coconut water is not much available, until and unless younhave them at a closed location.
I think I'd like Puri Beach...although I'm not much of a fan of sand...it gets everywhere! I like coconut water though.
You will find this place more relaxing, ...for sure I had the best of the time after long...and coconut water was so refreshing including the fresh coconut cream to eat.
It looks like a great place, I love the colour of the sand and the coconut water is very good for thirst and health!❤️
Yes...it was relaxing at the beach...been here after a long time...so making every moment count with each sip
Exactly enjoy the time and place😀
Coconut water gives fresh feel. I wish that one day I will also go to beach then I will have one coconut water too.
Hey...beer refreshes too...but it was not easily available at puri beach....for that you have travel at other locatio...Goa being the best of all
For a minute I was hoping it was a Pina Colada! :OD
Now I have too goole this item...though sounds too good
I love your photo of the coconut enjoying itself at the beach. 😄
Yes it makes the beach stay more relaxing
I don’t think you’re ready for this much beauty 😅, I visited this place for the first time this summer, Puerto Escondido,🇨🇺, a biosphere reserve where you can enjoy the mountain and the sea in the same place. There’s a camping site for college students, where the vibe is amazing, a magical place.
That water! When I learned that we live in a biosphere - in an unknown semi-desert valley in South Africa - I was puzzled. My idea of biosphere is exactly this! What a stunning place
This places , Puerto Escondido is really amazing place , both aspect of the nature in one place, is incredible
I'm ready mate, way ready...just that I'm not there to enjoy it!
Can old bastards from Australia camp there too? I hope so. 😊
I hope some someday you can come and enjoy our nature and more , mate
And yes I think there are only 2 rules : enjoy nature and respect nature , so you will be more than ok 😅
The chance might present itself, I hope so anyway.
Thanks mate 🙏🏻 always it's a pleasure to participate
Ready as I am, I'm jealous 🙃. It looks like much more than you've described even. Love the green of the sea.
😎
You got me🙊, it is not possible to describe that beauty in just 50 words, but there are beauties that cannot be described in a thousand words😅.
This is a place that cannot be described, every description falls very short (soon I will try to make a post to see if I can get closer to the original beauty of the place 😉)
😅 I agree.
I'll watch out for it. 😁
Hermoso paisaje
Sin duda , pero aquí se han mostrado paisajes que tan bellos como este
Saludos, todos los paisajes son hermosos me encantan
Nearly five years ago, I snapped this cold and gray photo of an unknown river somewhere in the midwest from the train as I was riding home after celebrating Thanksgiving with my extended family and mourning the death of my last grandparent. Awkward, conflicting feelings all around. Enjoy?
It is a magnificent photograph, very beautiful even if it is grey, a landscape like from another world!❤️
Five years ago was another world. But winter comes again anyway.
Five years ago..... was a very different world, I know. The winters are as beautiful as the summer, it's the magic of nature!
It seems a scene that closely matched your feelings at that time...life does that sometimes right?
Does life reflect our feelings, or do we interpret what we see through those feelings, and select subjects based on that?
Haha, it's funny you say that because as I was typing my comment I was thinking the exact same thing! I was trying not to get too deep...and in the nest day or so I'll have a shitload of comments to respond to because of this concept so I was trying to be economical. You're right though.
As october is almost ending. You appeared with a perfect photo which is depicting the fall season. Also it is somehow giving spooky Halloween vibes.
Everyone will see it from different analytical lense.
A shot of the Tagus (Tajo, Tejo) river taken from up the castle at Vila Velha de Rodão in Portugal. It is the longest river of the Iberian Peninsula. It rises near Teruel (Spain) flows over Spain and Portugal and empties into the Atlantic Ocean in Lisbon.
Beautiful photograph of the Tajo river. I know the river from two points near Madrid city, where I live, Aranjuez and Fuentidueña de Tajo, but I don't remember having seen the Tajo river so healthy and beautiful. Thanks for the picture
A spectacular panorama and view! I love the shape of the river and the green landscape around!😍
I hear Portugal is a lovely place, I'd like to visit sometime...I'll need someone to show me all the good places to eat. Just hinting.
Food is definitely something to enjoy there, specially seafood.
I'm on it...I'll start eating less now so I have room! 😁
Just make sure you plan the trip when I am there so I can join you in those meals! 😋
Lol, that's a must!
Dark blue colour of water and then green plus yellowish colour of greenery is looking like a perfect combination. The air, which would be crossing by you, would be nice there.
I was on this beach called "El Dedo" when I was on my way to another absolutely desolate beach. I was fascinated by the view, the panoramic view with the mountains and the colours, the sounds and the smell of the sea, I love it too much!
Thank you very much!✨
That looks like a great spot, a little but like a place I used to live called Cairns, Australia.
I'll look it up on the map right away, I'd love to see it! Thanks Galen!
https://cairnsaustralia.com/
Wowwww it's a paradise! 😍
One of my dreams is to dive among corals, it must be sublime!
The Great Barrier Reef is off the shore...it's amazing, been out there (and down there) a few times. I was back in Cairns only last year, I still have a brother that lives there.
It has beautiful landscapes and the water .... is green and turquoise, how beautiful! I would love to be among the coral reefs and stay there.
The emptiness of this one os beautiful
Yes it is, thank you very much!❤️
Well, that's some view, really blue water, a quiet and empty beach too; just the way I like it. A lovely view indeed, a lot of blue, and some needful peace and quiet.
Peace is really needed, often to meditate or just to connect with the inner self. thank you very much!✨
Imperative! ☮️
You are welcome. 🥃
A big hug!🤗
This looks like an outfit I'd rock, the shades of blue + white, and brown, and a bit of green makeup 😄. Love the ambience. Nice shot.
Thank you very much, I was walking somewhere else and I saw this scene and I loved it. Thank you very much!❤️
Tanjung Aru Beach is located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. Many locals and tourists hang out there in the afternoon to watch the sunset, making it a popular spot for all kinds of visitors. Because of the close-by food stalls and the breathtaking scenery, I like visiting the beach.
I've been to Malaysia and loved it...I'll be back!
This is a great snap, lovely calm waters and that sunset!
Thank you,😬 the views are just breathtaking! 🌅
Which part of Malaysia have you been to?
Pretty much all over really...I mean not totally all over, but enough of it to make it a long list of places. My dad was born there and went through the Japanese occupation in world war two. He didn't come to Australia until the mid-1960's.
Is your father a Malaysian? In fact, I grew up not far from Sandakan Memorial Park, the site of the former Japanese base camp where all of their prisoners were kept.
Through an agreement between the Australian government, the Sandakan Municipal Council, and the state government of Sabah, the Sandakan Memorial Park was established.
It was created in honour of every prisoner who lost their life during the Ranau Death March. They even held the yearly Sandakan Memorial Day service last August 15. Have you been here yet?
War history is something I know a lot about so am very familiar with all the theatres of war that Australia served in and have visited many of the battlefields around the world from a world war one and two perspective and in relation to Australia's involvement.
That's cool. I hope one day we can meet if you ever happen to visit Sabah, Malaysia, again. 🙏
What a wonderful sunset over the sea, those colours are incredible!😍
The view was breathtaking. Once we arrived at the beach and saw the sunset, everyone was left speechless and started taking photos as the sun slowly set. 🌞
It is one of the most beautiful moments of the day and by the sea, spectacular!😀
My first reaction was hmmmmmm. This is mesmerising, such beautiful scene 😍.
Great shot.
Thank you for your kind words about the shot. It's truly appreciated!
Love the silhouettes of the people on the beach. It makes this photo so interesting to look at.
I'm glad you appreciate the photo! It's intriguing, don't they? Thank you for sharing your thoughts!🙏🤗
My wife and I recently celebrated our 15th anniversary on the shores of Lake Champlain on the border of New York and Vermont. It's one of the largest freshwater lakes in the US, but small in comparison to the Great Lakes around Michigan.
It looks like a nice spot. I assume it's used for fishing and boating...Also, I've heard about the Great Lakes area...just another place on my list of places to go.
The weather could have been nicer, but it was a really beautiful area. Yes, lots of fishing and boating. We saw many sailboats and ferries from our hotel room. The Great Lakes is awesome, I'm a bit biased though being from Michigan.
I think, due to the distance from here to there and that I'd be on a time frame, I'd hit the Great Lakes area before these lesser, but still good, areas. I'd have to be economical with time I guess...or just stay as long as I liked and never come home.
There's definitely a ton to do and see. If you ever think you are actually going to make the trip, let me know what sort of stuff you want to do/see and I can probably give you some pointers/connections.
I'll certainly be looking for tips.
Salud amigo que romántico lugar
It's been an year.
I went there in last winter. Yes, see my hoodie. This is head Sagar in my city hafizabad. One of the places which I have visited about 50 times in my life because it's near. I will call it friend's place because I always go with friends.
It looks like a fairly fast-flowing river. Is it used for recreation and transport?
It is head means it transfers water to other canals and sub-canals. This head is directly linked to river.
As beach is almost 1500km away from me so I cannot post photo with it. Although I have visited a waterfall which was Umbrella waterfall but I didn't post that photo as I have used photos in one of my blogs in outdoor and more community. That's why I selected this one.
Ah ok, I wasn't sure what that meant, head. An aqueduct I guess we'd call it.
But here everyone calls it head. Even sign board has the same name. Yes, you are also right.
Hermoso lugar de encuentro de amigos
Up close here at Athabasca falls, Jasper Park, Alberta, Canada. At times it felt dangerously too close to the rushing water. Great place to stop in if you ever find yourself up here!
I wondered if you'd drop in considering how many water courses and lakes you have around the place. And here you are.
I really want to get to Canada, hasn't happened yet though. I had an uncle who lived in Toronto for many years...I should have imposed on him for free accommodation! :)
No doubt, hope to see you up here someday. Would you believe that a flight from Toronto to Alberta is about 4 hours!!
I know, it's the same as in Australia, a five hour flight to cross the country.
Last beach trip for Dad II (stepdad). Dementia was setting in. His son, me & my Mom took him on a trip to the beach so he could fish there one last time. It was a bit of a bitter sweet adventure, but still created a lot of sweet memories.
A treasured photo I'd imagine.
I have one such also, a photo I took of my dad at the Adelaide Oval. He had dementia too, and I'd taken him to watch the first day of The Ashes (a Test cricket series between England and Australia first begun in 1882/83.) It was stressful, I couldn't leave him alone at any point, but he loved it and I have some good photos to remember it by. Now he's gone they mean more.
Thanks for sharing this personal photo.
This photo was taken at one of the quieter towns in Japan. This was a special moment because the locals told me that it's only on very clear days when Mount Fuji would be visible and I was extremely lucky that day!
A little activity - try to spot Mount Fuji!
Thank you, appreciate it!
Just last year I discovered a spot at Cox's Bazar, one that I've never seen or experienced before. It was the perfect "escape" I'd say, the whole trip and location. Even though I've visited Cox's Bazar more than 5 times, I've never really taken the time to explore it properly.
Fortunately, this time things were different...
Beautiful landscape, the sea, the nature and those pink colours I love!😍
The sliver of pink is the best part I'd say. 😃
It's beautiful, I love those colours!❤️
Here's one more for you. This one is my favorite, from that day.
Nature draws wonderful shapes before our eyes, thank you for this picture!😍
You took those words out of my mouth. I think I prefer this picture to the first. Do I? Argh, very hard to say, I'll have both. @riz611 :-)
Nature is a true artist, eh? I'd definitely say so.
I'm short of words.
This could easily be the wallpaper on my phone, or a framed photo in my home. Love it.
I'd say it's alright, a phone can't do much justice to such a view; a proper camera, however, that's what you need to get some truly amazing results.
I love nature is a way to relax in times of stress, there I forget about everything and I dedicate myself to live the moment, what better place than camping especially in these places where you can see how the wave comes and goes, I took this picture from the top of a mountain, when I was heading to the coast, I was struck by how beautiful it looked and I could see the contrast between sky and sea,
Sky and the sea are looking like they are hugging. It's a heart captivating view.
Saludos apreciado amigo, cierto la forma en que lo observas, eso fue lo que más me encantó. Gracias
What a beautiful landscape, the river in contrast with the sea and the horizon, it is beautiful to see it that way!😍
Cheers @avdesing just that was what I loved the most.
I share your taste, nature is beautiful!❤️
That's one hell of a click, I must say, lovely photography and view.
twothree if by sea"The photo of these lonely jet skis tempt me to pack my suitcase and revisit East End, Grand Cayman so I take one on another "flight" across the unforgettably prestine and clear ocean. (Circa March 2012)
That looks like a Hive-jet-ski race just before kicking off! I want the red and white one. 😉

Pristine is an apt word to describe this. I could be here and just stare all day not wanting to get in and disturb the stillness, haha. I never quite liked the green and blue combo but this photo may gave changed my mind. Love it.
Beautiful photo of the water and the sky is pretty nice too. I love the contrast of the red jet skis floating there against the green water.
7 months ago it was a very precious moment to visit this place, where my friend and I spent time breaking the fast on this beach. Lhoknga Beach, in Aceh, Indonesian.
Talking about the beach which is one of my favorite places, there is a special story stored in my memory about the beach. The sound of the waves crashing and the calm, this is what makes me love everything about the beach. I can spend a lot of time on the beach just contemplating and enjoying the gentle breeze on the shore. Even the night couldn't stop me from getting away from the gusts of wind for a moment.
When we go anywhere with our friends then we create such memories which always remain alive in our books of mind.
You're right, I've always loved all things beach. This is the one place to get rid of fatigue!
Ah! Indonesia, that's one country that's high up on my travel list. Absolutely love the beaches there.
Wow, you have to visit Indonesia. The beach is very beautiful here!
I definitely will, and hopefully soon. 🙏
I am going to tell you an interesting thing today. I visited this lake named Banjosa lake a few weeks ago and the interesting thing is that it is an artificial lake made by human. There was a paddle boat which is propelled by paddling. I enjoyed the ride with my friend.
Anywhere near water is great I think, it's so calming.
At Cheung Chau Island beach..one of the prettiest beaches I ever visited here in Hong Kong. One who loves water sports would love it here too. Surfing, kayaking, and other water sports equipment are available. But I love the tranquil view the most.
Sky and water of the beach are looking like as they are complimenting each other.
They are.. Looking at the view itself would make you relax ☺️
Yes. I'm relaxed already and I'm nowhere near, the picture seems to have done justice. Kudos!
Oh the wonders of crashing waves, cascading waterfalls and bubbling brooks. Now how about a total absence of ripples? But an overdose of saline swimming. Have you ever floated in the Dead Sea? It is an indescribable experience, especially with a book in hand as you savour the healing waters.
Editing because the bottom half of the photo was chopped.....but it seems it's done it again
My homestead fishing spot on Keystone Lake:
The water was down here, it usually is up to the willow trees. This is walking distance from the homestead, and I plan to fish overnight here. By making a fire close to the water's edge, the light will draw them in to my hooks. I'll take a cast iron skillet, and fixings; and eat some hot out of the pan, while I fish!
Obviously one night won't get enough....
As a side note, they left a town under the lake right here; when they filled the lake. So when I have my SCUBA gear ready, I also plan to go down, and have a look.
Last time I was there, I ran off a small herd of deer!
👍💙🐾🐶🐾💗🤠🎉🦘
I enjoy your posts, but what is this?
BTW, the shoulder Dr said I'm okay to hunt this year. I'll try some sighting in with the beast, and then I'll know if it's south paw this year or not. BP season is open now....
I don't understand the question...What is what? I thought I made this all quite clear in the text. It's a concept I do from time to time to get engagement happening and to give away Ecency points.
Sorry, I had to look up Ecency; looks interesting! I should pay more attention to crypto , but this is usually just for enjoyment. Now I get to go out in the fall weather and fix a heater blower that quit...now that's enjoyment, LOL!
The engagement really contributed to the health of a blog, I used to win the engagement league on steemit. I still post and hope there, but it's a dessert these days...sad to see! But at least it's not gone entirely like weku....
🤔🤠🤕😳🐾🐶🐾
One, two, three, four...I count more than fifty words.
Sorry, the word count is usually a minimum, unless it's a haiku, LOL. Just ignore it, I post for enjoyment anyway.
Helping a friend restore a 36 calibre Colt Navy black powder replica pistol to function. It was a barn find...fighting rust, but starting to win. I sent him pictures of mine to show him how it comes apart.
💙🐾🐶🐾💗
Haiku...I'd like to see one on a Colt Navy black powder pistol...That'd be worth reading.
Hadn't considered that specific combination, LOL!
The barrel assembly is still stuck from rust on the main shaft, but the rest is disassembled. It is only a replica, so refurbishment won't ruin the value. They are fun to shoot!
👍🤠💗💙😳😁
Welcome to Ponta da Calheta. A unique place on the magnificent island of Porto Santo, located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. The tepid, clear waters of a deep blue and golden beaches invite everyone to jump in the sea, or bathe up to their waist...
https://maps.app.goo.gl/PZc82Eq6iFp9rAMn7
This is gorgeous.
It is truly, @uchelee ! Have you been in Porto Santo Island, or Madeira island before? Do you know Portugal? If you haven't, you surely have to put one of them in your bucket list for a future vacation ;)
I haven't and you won't believe it if I told you I already included Portugal in my bucket list of places to vacation. 😁
I love that speedboat action shot
Yeah it's cool, I took that from the edge of the water as the boat came around heading past...makes it look like it's coming right at me. That was in New Zealand, Shotover jet boats. https://www.shotoverjet.com/
We went on a couple times...I have the video...super-cool!
