17g of sugar for a diabetic is bad news. Sure, insulin counteracts, but it's straight sugar and a sensible diabetic eats accordingly. Fortunately I'm sensible.

My apologies. I wasn't aware you were diabetic. I've never been ill so I tend not to think of these things before I shoot my mouth off. When I ran an office in Palermo years ago, one of the staff was diabetic. I juiced for her every day and while at first she was wary and thought it would spike her sugar level, in fact it had the opposite effect. That said, I juice a lot of veggies with just a little fruit thrown in for sweetness.
It dominates my life and a misdiagnosis of it 15 years ago has taken 10-15 years of my lifespan. I'm on the right path now though. So, an orange is not something I'm willing to risk. I'm stringent with it, fortunately I'm a disciplined chap. The only fruit I eat is some strawberries now and then. I eat loads of vegetables though, and few carbs. As I said, I'm stringent and have educated myself on those things I need to know...but I take injections of insulin to eat and will until I die, or don't want to live anymore.
No apologies needed, you didn't know.
