Wow, I haven't heard the term "Freemason" in over 30 years. My dad belonged to a local lodge. Try my best, I could not get him to take me to a meeting. I'd be full of questions when he returned.

He did, however, break the rule and teach me one of the handshakes, but swore me to secrecy for life.

Thanks for some wonderful memories just now. Appreciate it. Take care.

It's a fairly secretive group, despite them saying otherwise.

The way I understand it, the handshakes are different depending on where one is and I'm ok with them having that. I am familiar with people/group specific acknowledgments and comfortable with it; a way to say, hey, you're my people.

I also know a could of the handshakes but would never dare use them, ever. It's not that I'm afraid to do so, more that I don't want to compromise my integrity and the promise I gave; the same as you.

Thanks for commenting, I appreciate it.

Yes, the handshakes are different from region to region. I would only use it to greet him, then we'd smile. I didn't know if he told my siblings, but I felt special. I don't believe he did because he knew they couldn't hold water, even to this day, lolol.

Take care and have a good start to your week.

he knew they couldn't hold water

Lol, this made me laugh.

Have a nice day too.
