RE: Quick comment concept - Win stuff for commenting

bike2020.jpg

This is an old photo from July 2020. My bike has since seen upgrades with new panniers, replaced chain/sprockets, and new tires. Then, new bikes were unavailable. Now, I am thinking about finally upgrading. 1x9 gearing? An electric motor? Disk brakes? But this is paid for.

Sort:

I'm thinking about a deadly treadly...I looked at an electric one a little while ago (so expensive) so would probably end up with something like yours instead...still bloody expensive though. This is one of the brands I'd consider.

I sent you 50 Ecency points.

deadly treadly

Heh.

I'm a bit out of the loop on bikes these days, but Specialized has a decent reputation as far as I know. Trek used to be good, and probably still is. Same for Giant. Probably lots of other brands since 2005 or so when I got this one. I've also been looking into longtail cargo bikes and bakfeitsen for more utility. I'm tempted by a recumbent tadpole trikes with a RWD electric conversion, but I am not a fan of delta-style cargo trikes at all from my limited experience.

Trek, Giant and Specialized are the three on my list, all around the same price and quality. I'm working on it and will post it...probably when I have my first crash! 😏

Mine would be more for fun; there's 30+ kilometres of downhill bike trails across the road from my house but at 137 years old I'd approach with caution, I don't bounce anymore. I'd ride for pleasure, maybe hit a bump or two now and then when I was bereft of my senses. 😂

But is it Shimano? :O)

This is a hybrid. Some Shimano, some Sram.
