TAG Heuer announced on Thursday a partnership with BitPay that allows 12 cryptocurrencies to be used in purchasing products from their online store. The announcement, originally posted on TAG Heuer's social media and press corner, comes as more companies begin investing in the crypto ecosystem.
In a statement on May 19, the company noted that the new cryptocurrency payment option is a partnership with BitPay and will incorporate 12 digital currencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and five dollar-pegged stablecoins. Further mentioned in the statement, U.S. customers will have no minimum amount to spend while the maximum has been capped at $10,000 per transaction. The company made clear the new crypto-based payment options were motivated by a rise in the number of customers using digital currencies and crypto-backed technology.
