It's a movement, not an organisation as far as I am aware, like so-called 'antifa'. Oh, and they do care about all lives and many of them are white. The full name ought to be 'black lives matter too'. We saw how the 'white lives matter' crowd behaved in London yesterday. Some of them were just looking for a fight and turned on the police when the BLM supporters wisely stayed away.
I do not support violent protests. There are people on all sides who like to cause trouble, but usually they are a small minority.
