Such a shame the Brits are still all bound by the shackles of the monarchy though...so what freedom were you talking about again? God bless you all but the queen a little more?
The House of Lords is more of a pressing problem than the monarchy. I am also not a fan of monarchies and being a subject of a monarch, but the British Monarch is pretty much a state figurehead these days, like a president in countries with a Prime Minister.
Yeah, but doesn't that make it kinda worse? She gets paid more than 45 million pounds each year for just being a 'state figurehead'. And we're not even talking about the expenses and the rest of her family. Would this money not do much better work if it were used for useful things? I'd get behind a government that would want to abolish the monarchy for that reason. But that's called treason I believe... And that shows what's truly wrong with all governments.
