When a person is in a dilemma, it becomes very difficult to confidently reply to even a simple question. That shows a lack of belief or you are not convinced by an idea.
I had a long discussion about managing finance with my wife and I told her multiple options which I thought would be good for our long-term goal, however, she was not very convinced with my view and when I asked her what she thought on this, she replied but her voice sounded odd.
This very example tells us that when you are not convinced by some proposal, instead of straight away rejecting it, you show some gesture that another person understands and take it further.
