Beautiful sky

Hello everyone. Happy Wednesday!
Hope you all are doing well.

Everyone has something that gives them peace and happiness, well for me it has been just looking at the sky. It is so mesmerizing to see how the clouds look and the sun shines. ⛅️ It's fun to be able to look at the could and use your imagination to make shapes out of it too. Brings out the creative child in me.

The other day I was standing outside my home with a few of my little cousins who were playing and riding cycle. As I walked out of the house, one of them pointed at the sky, it was so beautiful.

More beautiful than ever. The clouds were formed in a way that it looked like there were waves forming.

I clicked a few pictures of this heavenly view, but honestly these pictures don't do justice to the beauty of nature.

After a while I went out with a friend, he wanted to buy a few things from the bookstore, so we visited "The School Book Company" at Carstreet, which is pretty famous here around Mangalore. After we reached our destination, we were awe struck with another stunning view. We saw that, from the place where we were standing, if we turn to the west we could see this mesmerizing sunset, and to the east we saw the radiant moon. The side of the sunset was warm and cozy, whereas the moon luminescence was cool. It was just wonderful.

Can you believe these two pictures of the same place, just on different sides of the road. We decided that we would enjoy this view for a while. The place where this happened was a busy road. We sat at "Champa", which is a shop for snacks and chats. We orders some chats and vadapav. We chose this place since it is an open dine in. We could most clearly see the sky. It was my first te eating there, the chat was ok but the vadapav, omg! Words not enough to describe how tasty it was. I have gone there two more times but the 1st time we ate vadapav there was the most tastiest one, well I suppose the aura of the surrounding helped enhance the taste.🤭

Coming back to the topic of sky. Most of the times when we look above us, we notice that the sky is blue🔵. But did you know that the ancient civilizations did not see this color different. The color blue is pretty rare in nature, there are a very few things that are actually blue, and when they are, it's mostly not the pigment but rather a sort of light illusion. So mostly people associated the color blue with other colors and didn't see it as a different color. Well now that we have a name for it, it is easy to recognize and differentiate it.

Have you wondered why it is blue in the first place? If nature doesn't have a lot of blue pigment, where is the color coming from? When the sunlight reaches Earth's atmosphere and is scattered in all directions by all the gases and particles in the air, blue light is scattered more than other colors because it travels as shorter, smaller waves. This is why we see a blue sky most of the time. Closer to the horizon, the sky fades to a lighter blue or white. But now you must be thinking, if blue light is scattered and visible more, as to why the sunset is yellow or red. That is because, as the Sun gets lower in the sky, more of the blue light is scattered, allowing the reds and yellows to pass straight through to your eyes. Pretty cool how all this works right? Nature never fails to surprise me.
