Nostradamus. When you read the first sentence, you probably thought that's the guy who can tell the future. Throughout the centuries, there have been many different opinions when it comes to Nostradamus and his prophecies. Usually, you have two different types of people, people who believe in his prophecies or people who don't believe in his prophecies.
Today I am going to briefly introduce Nostradamus, and after that, we are going to do a test to see which type of person you are. I will write three paragraphs from Nostradmus's Les Propheties, and you can tell me if you believe the prophecies have come true or not.
Nostradamus was actually known as Michel De Nostredame. Still, he went by his Latinised (Latinised is the practice of rendering a non-Latin name in Latin style) name, which is Nostradamus. He was born in December of 1503 and died in July of 1566. Nostradamus was a French astrologer, physician, and a seer. He wrote a book known as Les Propheties, that contained 943 poems, which all contained four lines known as quatrains. He first published his book in 1555, eleven years before his death.
The first poem:
The young lion will overcome the older one,
On the field of combat in single battle;
He will pierce his eyes through a golden cage,
Two wounds made one, then he dies a cruel death.
The second poem:
The ancient task will be completed,
From on high, evil will fall on the great man,
A dead innocent will be accused of the deed,
The guilty on will remain in the mist.
The third poem:
The heavenly dart with stretch its course
Death in the speaking: a great achievement
The proud nation brought low by the stone in the tree
Rumors of a monstrous human, bring purge, then expiation.
So what do you think? Are you a believer or not?
