In September 1957, US President Dwight D. Eisenhower ordered troops to enter the town of Little Rock, Arkansas, to protect 9 black students from racist Americans.

1200 paratroopers accompanied black children to school and back, were on duty in the corridors, protecting them from whites.

Before that, the country's Supreme Court abolished racial segregation in schools, but many did not accept it. When black children came to school in September, she was surrounded by the National Guard by decree of the governor. A crowd of whites insulted children and spat on them.

After spending 19 days at home, the children went to school already accompanied by soldiers, but after 2 months the troops were withdrawn. The bullying and beatings started again.

The children turned out to be purposeful, all graduated from school, received higher education and made a career, and the city of Little Rock became a symbol of the struggle of African Americans for their civil rights.
